The customer submitted a request for review from our bike warranty department back on 6/21/2017 as shown below. During submission of this form the customer is given the choice to select if the issue is caused by a manufacturing defect, or impact damage. Mr. [redacted] indicated the issue with...
his Yeti SB5c was caused by impact damage, and not a manufacturing defect. Yeti’s warranty only covers issues related to manufacturing defects, and not impact damage. In addition Competitive Cyclist does not make determinations on warranty claims, they are submitted to the appropriate manufacturer for review. As such Mr. [redacted] was offered a crash replacement front triangle by Yeti through Competitive Cyclist at the discounted crash replacement price of $650, this was conveyed to Mr. [redacted], and he replied to confirm on Friday 6/30 stating that he request we ask Yeti to hold the frame. Yeti would not hold the frame without payment, and this was the last frame available through Yeti in Mr. [redacted]s size. Mr. [redacted] reached out again on Friday July 14th via e-mail requesting a rep contact him as he had payment, and wanted to place an order for the frame. By the time Mr. [redacted] had contacted us back to order the frame Yeti had already sold out. I have supporting e-mails for context to support the above account, as well as the submission sheet filled out by Mr. [redacted] below.
