I am writing in response to the complaint from [redacted]
Mr. [redacted] is correct in that he brought his vehicle in for repairs;
we gave him an estimate of $1,100.00 to do the body work repairs, I am not...

sure
if the door being out of alignment was part of the original estimate, we did do
the repairs and his total bill came to $932.41, well under the original
estimate.  Nothing was ever said to
anyone here that he would not be able to pay for the repairs at the time of
pickup.  It was not until the day he came
to pick up the vehicle that he informed us he would not be able to pay right
away.  He was told he needed to talk to
the owner before the vehicle would be released. 
Our standard policy is that the vehicle is not released until the
repairs are paid for; there is a sign up on the counter that states this.  After discussing with the owner, Mr. [redacted] promised to pay the full bill with his tax return when he received it.
The repairs where completed on January 16, 2014, after
several phone calls, with no response, finally the owners daughter got a hold
of Mr. [redacted] by text messaging.  He
agreed to pay $100.00 every other week and gave her is bank card
information.  The first payment of $100
was run on March 17, 2014, we tried every other week to run the payments, but
the majority of the time there were not enough funds in the account.   The following payments were received on the
dates indicated:
Beginning balance on 1/16/14 $932.41
Payment on 3/17/14 $100.00
Payment on 4/7/14 $100.00
Payment on 4/28/14 $100.00
Payment on 5/27/14 $100.00
Payment on 6/13/14 $100.00
Payment on 7/21/14 $132.41
Payment on 8/8/14 $100.00
Balance due $200.00
We have copies of the most recent text messages between the
owners’ daughter and Mr. [redacted] regarding the payments. 
Mr. [redacted] did state to the owners daughter that he was
still having some issue with the vehicle, she told him to bring it back in and
we would take a look at.  He never
brought it back in nor did he ever contact the business directly to complain
about the repairs.  We would have been
glad to take a look at it and if it was something that we did, it would have
been repaired at no fee to Mr. [redacted].
