CES is acting solely as the installer for this project/inquiryWe have an agreement with *** Energy Solutions who sold
the project to the customer and we were contracted to install the solar array*** Energy did not complete the required paperwork in regards to the interconnection agreement which has halted the project to a stand-stillWe DO NOT at CES execute that part of the process, we never have and never agreed toWe have been more than willing to help the sales outlet complete this part of the project but that paperwork needs to be completed by the sales agent as we do not have the pertinent information requiredWe were contracted to install, not submit paperwork to the state of IAThat being said, there was unexpected things that came up that made this project take longer than expected during the construction stageSome of which was caused due to a miscommunication with the customer who did not agree with our proposed one-line drawing and installation siteThat is on us at CES thus we are not disputing this inquiryWe are disputing the reason howeverIn terms of making the loan payment as the customer has stated, we cannot do thatThe project is still not completed so we have not been paid for this projectIt has been open for months on end and we are operating at a loss on this project at this point so making payments FOR the customer will not happenWe cannot continue to lose money due to an issue that wasn't caused by CESI understand the customer is upset and doesn't realize that we are only the installer not the sales agent so that is hard for them to understand thus they have filed the complaint accordinglyAt this point I can only apologize and hope that *** Energy can complete the necessary paperwork so we can follow through on our commitmentsWhen/if we are paid on the project in full, we can discuss some sort of agreement to give the customer financial assistance due to the issues that WERE caused by CES
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 14, 2016/01/27) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We are finally making head-way on this project, after I took a day off work to go to the Franklin Rural Electric Cooperative to make sure all paperwork was signed and done (which was supposed to have been done last summer) After that meeting, I summarized the necessary steps needed and shared them with Mike (salesperson), Mark (owner), and Eric (CES - installer)
I have attached series of emails - and the hold up was CESWe are at the stage that the electric needs to be attached and that has not been done
Also, if you look at the above attachment (with my initial complaint), Eric said he would make the monthly payments until this system was up and running Do not take on a project unless you know you can do it Do not make promises unless you plan to follow through
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 18, 2016/02/09) */

CES is acting solely as the installer for this project/inquiry. We have an agreement with [redacted] Energy Solutions who sold...

the project to the customer and we were contracted to install the solar array. [redacted] Energy did not complete the required paperwork in regards to the interconnection agreement which has halted the project to a stand-still. We DO NOT at CES execute that part of the process, we never have and never agreed to. We have been more than willing to help the sales outlet complete this part of the project but that paperwork needs to be completed by the sales agent as we do not have the pertinent information required. We were contracted to install, not submit paperwork to the state of IA. That being said, there was unexpected things that came up that made this project take longer than expected during the construction stage. Some of which was caused due to a miscommunication with the customer who did not agree with our proposed one-line drawing and installation site. That is on us at CES thus we are not disputing this inquiry. We are disputing the reason however. In terms of making the loan payment as the customer has stated, we cannot do that. The project is still not completed so we have not been paid for this project. It has been open for months on end and we are operating at a loss on this project at this point so making payments FOR the customer will not happen. We cannot continue to lose money due to an issue that wasn't caused by CES. I understand the customer is upset and doesn't realize that we are only the installer not the sales agent so that is hard for them to understand thus they have filed the complaint accordingly. At this point I can only apologize and hope that [redacted] Energy can complete the necessary paperwork so we can follow through on our commitments. When/if we are paid on the project in full, we can discuss some sort of agreement to give the customer financial assistance due to the issues that WERE caused by CES.
