My company is a tenant at one of their buildings. In January we had some water damage to the building and my area of storage and bathroom. I made a complaint by email to them, they sent someone out. He pulled the carpet up and never came back. Repeatedly, we have water that comes in after a hard rain. I have reached out again and asked them to lower my rent if they are not going to fix the problem. This has been going on since January 2019. Now there could be mold in the wall because it stays so wet. *** is in charge of my building but makes no attempt to compensate me for this or to fix it. I would like to be compensated by them lowering my rent due to less quality of my space, than I signed up for. It states in my lease that they are responsible for repairs that affect the roof, exterior walls and foundation. Clearly the walls and foundation have been affected.

Desired Outcome

Desired Settlement: Billing Adjustment Not to charge me rent for the months that I have repeatedly asked for repairs.

In response to Ms 's Complaint to the Revdex.com, we have had our maintenance people up to the property on numerous occasions, and have satisfactorily and completely addressed any problems that she had. Repairs were made to the roof area, and additional caulking was added to those areas as well, to remedy the situation. In addition, there have been times when our primary maintenance man made special trips to the property, to specifically check out any area that she stated was leaking or was staying wet. Yet, he observed no such condition when he was there. Our understanding is that he even provided her his personal cell phone number, so that she could contact him personally, to alert him to any situation that she felt needed to be addressed immediately. There were even occasions when he was to go to the property, with the understanding that Ms *** was to be there, to personally point out the problem she had reported, but she ultimately had a conflict, so we had to reschedule. Additionally, there were also a couple of times he was sent to the property, with the understanding that she would be there at a certain time, but she was not. We actually had to call her to get her to come to the property so that he could check out the building, and waited considerable time for her to arrive. Our obligations as landlord, concerning repairs are spelled out in the lease, and we have fulfilled our obligations fully and completely in that regard.
Finally, Ms *** provided us with color pictures of the areas that she believes have suffered damage, and which she states are the sources of her issues, and still need addressing. Each of her pictures have been reviewed by several of us at our office; and in each instance, our maintenance staff has fully addressed any problem, and there are no remaining issues which require anything further to be done.
Concerning Ms 's request for a reduction in her rent, Complete Properties has already fully remedied each situation, at considerable time and expense, and cannot make any concessions to rents that are due.

Customer Response • Apr 29, 2019

I'm writing in response to the information sent in. The response is all wrong, therefore, I am sending you pictures of the area that is still not repaired and still continue getting water/moisture and possibly mold in the wall and bathroom area. She mentioned the area had been repaired but these pictures were just taken and has not been repaired. Since January 2019, they have sent a maintenance guy out that poured concrete on the outer wall, and it did not solve the problem. I do believe mold is growing in that wall and you can clearly see, in the bathroom floor, where the glue has come up, or possibly mold in the floor. Also, where you see the blue carpet, this is where their maintenance guy left the carpet and it is still in the same place. She was not the one I was reporting to at the time, so I do believe she does not have all the facts correct. I was never given the maintenance guy's number to contact him personally, he was not my contact person. Also, I showed up each time we scheduled, but was only late one time of ten minutes. My lease said I was to report to the contact person and that is what I have done. Unfortunately, I have not received the proper response verbally or the issue is not repaired. I am still asking that they reduce my rent for May due to all of this bad management.
Thx
