I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I received the first bill for services on 10/*/I started treatment on 7/**/16. At NO TIME during those two months was I told that I would be responsible for $per treatment in a group settingThat was not explained to me in person, by phone, or by email.
I would have changed providers, and did as soon as I saw the obscene costI have a more experienced PT that charges $per hour for one on one treatment.

Professional Physical Therapy (“PPT”) strives to ensure that all patients are fully satisfied with the care receivedWe take any complaint seriously and take all reasonable steps to address the complaintIn this circumstance, the Customer indicated no concerns until the Customer’s care had
completedWe are very sorry that the Customer was not satisfied with the cost of treatment at PPT, as we strive to ensure that each and every patient is satisfied with our servicesPPT takes every complaint and patient feedback very seriouslyAs such, upon receipt of Customer’s concern on 10/**/2016, PPT promptly reviewed the Customer’s complaint and performed a thorough investigation of the facts and circumstances surrounding the matter, as set forth belowThe Customer contacted PPT on 7/**/to schedule an appointment for 7/**/at one of PPT’s New York City clinicsOn 7/**/2016, PPT’s billing department completed the verification of the Customer’s insurance benefits with the Customer’s insurance carrier, which is an industry standard and routine practice at PPTOn 7/**/at 4:P.M., PPT’s billing department, in accordance with company policy, attempted to contact the Customer on the telephone to discuss the Customer’s insurance benefits prior to the Customer’s first service dateHowever, the billing department was unable to reach the Customer and left a message for the Customer requesting a return phone call to discuss the Customer’s insurance benefitsThe Customer did not return the billing department’s phone callOn 7/**/2016, at the Customer’s first scheduled appointment and prior to the Customer’s receipt of service, the Customer was provided a document that explicitly detailed the Customer’s insurance terms, as provided by the Customer’s insurance carrier, inclusive of Customer’s deductible, copay and total treatment days allowed per calendar yearThe Customer freely and voluntarily signed the document, and did not express any concerns or object to receiving treatmentThe document also provided, “Please verify this information with your insurance carrier, as we are not responsible for any incorrect information your carrier had relayed to us.” As such, the Customer was provided in writing with Customer’s applicable insurance carrier benefits, as it was provided to PPT’s billing department by the Customer’s insurance carrier, prior to receiving treatment, which treatment continued without objection until 9/**/Within approximately two (2) weeks from the first date of service, namely on or about 8/*/2016, and for every service thereafter, the Customer received an Explanation of Benefits (“EOB”) from the Customer’s insurance carrier regarding the services provided to the Customer by PPT, which EOB includes, but is not limited to, the Customer’s name and the service provided, the amount charged by the provider, the amount of the charges that are not covered by the plan, the amount of charges that are allowable under Customer’s plan, the amount paid to the provider, the deductible, copay, coinsurance and the amount the Customer is responsible for payingNotwithstanding the foregoing, the Customer continued to receive treatment at PPT until 9/**/with full knowledge of the costs that the Customer would incur for PPT’s servicesThe Customer’s costs to receive treatment from PPT were unequivocally disclosed in writing to the Customer on numerous occ asions despite the Customer’s allegations to the contraryAccordingly, PPT strongly believes that the services provided to the Customer were rendered appropriately and in full accordance with established standardsIf you have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me
