CARco is in receipt of your letter dated May 13, in regards to Ms [redacted] We have read the complaint that Ms [redacted] filed with your office and reviewed our GAP claim file.CAR.co is unable to process a GAP claim until all required documents are providedMs [redacted] encountered a total loss on May 18, and her lender, [redacted] Financial Services, filed the GAP claim with CARco on July 8, 2015.Upon review of the claim documents submitted, the insurance settlement information did not coincideCARco made numerous attempts to retrieve the corrected paperwork from [redacted] Financial Services and [redacted] Insurance Company (July 8, through November 2, 2015)On November 23, 2015, CARco closed the claim due to no response regarding the needed documents.CARco received a copy of a supplemental insurance check on February 18, and reopened the claimUpon review of the claim and the supplemental check, the insurance company’s evaluation and settlement breakdown still did not matchCARco received an insufficient explanation of the ACV difference from the [redacted] Insurance Company on March 4, [redacted] Insurance Company was unable to provide the comparable used to calculate the ACV, therefore CARco proceeded with the claim using the insurance settlement as an agreed upon amountThe claim was then approved and sent to the accounting department for paymentPayment of $was then sent to [redacted] Financial Services for Ms[redacted] ’s GAP claim on April 1, 2016.Feel free to contact me with any questions at the phone number listed belowSincerely, Janet B [redacted] Claims Manager

the required documents to CARco in order for the GAP claim to be processed; therefore, it was *** *** responsibility to provide a copy of the required police report for her September 30, loss.CARco received a copy of the police report on January 12, At that time, the claim was processed and submitted to the accounting department for payment.Payment of $2,was then sent to Consumer Portfolio Services for *** ***’ GAP claim on January 20, 2016.Feel free to contact me with any questions at the phone number listed below.Sincerely,Janet B.Claims Manager
