Review: On Monday, 03/03/2014, I, [redacted] went to Compu-star to get my white, ** laptop repaired. [redacted], A man who said he was the owner of the establishment said he would be able to assist me with my problem. I informed him that My laptop would power on, but the screen was black and there was no visual picture. He informed me that he would have to perform an open case diagnosis on the computer and it would take 2-3 business days. he said the cost would be $89.95 + tax and if I decided to let him repair the computer the disgnosis cost would go towards the repair. I agreed to those terms and waited to hear from **. [redacted] in regards to the diagnosis of my computer. A full week went buy and I didnt hear from **. [redacted]. I called [redacted] on Thursday, 03/13/2014 being as though it was well over three days and he couldn't provide me with any type of courtesy call in regards to the diagnosis of my laptop. When I called him it seemed as though he was busy and he asked if he could call me back in five monutes. He didnt call me back in five minutes, instead he called back in a half hour. By that time I was approaching his store. He informed me that my computer needed a new mother board and the cost would be $100. I paid the $100 using my debit card and he informed me that he would order the mother board that day. On Monday, 03/24/2014 I went back to his establishment to see if the part for my computer had arrived. He informed me that he recieved his shipment for the day and my mother board was not on the shipment. I asked him when was it suppose to arrive and he said Monday 03/24/2014. Then he said it would be in the store the next day which would have been Tuesday 03/25/2014. I left the store and he called me a few hours later and said the motherboard had arrived and my laptop was fixed. I went hack to store five minutes after recieving the phone call being as though I lived in the neighborhood. I paid my remaining balance which was $192.68 and that included a laptop charger that was slightly used. I used the computer that night which was on Monday 03/24/2014 and turned it off and unplugged it after I used it. On Wednesday 03/26/2014 I tried to turn my laptop on and it would not turn on. I immediatley went to Compu-star and informed **. [redacted] about the problem I was having. He tried to turn the laptop on just as I did and was unsuccessful. He informed me that I could leave my computer with him and he would try and see what the problem was the next day. I told him that he had my laptop for three weeks and he should have diagnosed the problem within that time span because that was more than enough time, He then informed me that it would take him two hours to open the computer up, therefore I told him I had time and I would wait. He then said he wasnt going to try and fix my laptop that day and he would do it the next day. I told him if that was the case I would bring my laptop to him the next day, but he insisted that I leave the computer with him. One minute he would say he would do it the next day and the next he said he would do it that night. Then he said if its the mother board which was causing the problem he would order a new one, but the one he orded should have been new and it shouldnt have been any issues with it, Being as though he refused to let me bring my computer back the next day, or attepmt to look into the problem while I was there he told me to take the $100 I paid for the mother board along with my computer and leave his store.please note I didnt get the $139 I paid which went toward the repair of my laptop. He also had the nerve to ask me to bring the laptop charger I purched from hiim back to the store as well. He really wasnt sure what the issue was with my laptop and he shouldn't have accpeted it. I paid for a service and did not recieve that service, nor did he attepmt to provide said service in a timely manner. He was very unprofessiional. I left the store with my $100 and my laptop and informed my mother [redacted] about the situation. She called the stroe to see why he wouldnt fix my laptop that day and he went on and tried to use car tire analogies, but any car repair shop would fix/try to fix that car that day if the car broke down after it was repaired. My mother asked him his name and he gave her a first name which was [redacted], then she asked for his last name and he said he didn't have one. She informed he that he would be reported to the Revdex.com and he gave her the last name of [redacted], but I honeslty dont think that is his real name at all. As I stated before this man was very unprofessional and he did not render his services in a timely manner nor was I satisfied with said services becaused my laptop only worked for one day after I picked it up from Comput-star and it doesnt power on at all.Desired Settlement: I would like a the remaining balance which was charged for labor to be refunded to me being as though my laptop is not usable. I paid for a service which I didn't not receive. The customer should always come first
