Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved Sincerely, [redacted]

MrPavel ***, On approximately March 15, (exact date not known) I first brought my ** Laptop into the Albany Store because the unit was overheatingYour staff said they could not duplicate the problem and I returned to pick it up a day or two laterI was then told that the computer had
been on for a long period of time and there was no overheatingThere was no charge because they could not find the issueThe same night the computer overheated after being used for a short period of timeThe next day it over heated again and I returned it to the store on On March 17, I brought the unit back in for the same issue and was told that it would be looked atI received a call on the 18th stating the problem was due to a virus and that it was removed and it was no longer overheatingWhile there I asked what type of virus it was and no one gave me an answerI was told that they used CCleaner to remove the virusThe worker told me that the unit was running hot before the cleaning and was now running at a temperatureI then paid $for the workNote: CCleaner was already installed on the computer and had been run earlier that week while in my possessionThis computer is used for the following functions only, e-mails, banking and FacebookNo downloads have ever been downloaded unto this machine other than Microsoft and ** updatesI brought the computer home and started it up and it overheated againThat same day I returned it to the store at around 7pm and was told they would look into itI believe it was on the following Monday or Tuesday I received a call saying it was ready to be picked upThe next morning I stopped in to pick it up at amWhen I got there the laptop was not on the shelves where fixed items were kept They couldn’t find itI looked over on one of the work benches and there it wasI told the worker that it was the bench, he went and got it for meI asked if it was fixed and he looked on the computer and I do not think he found anything stating it wasI told him I was not taking it until I was sure it was doneI gave him my cell number and asked him to call me so I could pick it up once he verified it was doneAbout an hour later he called me and asked what my password was, I told him it was in his work system and gave him the number as well. Later that afternoon I got a call saying they could not get into the computer so I went to the store. It turned out that it wasn’t my typical password but a system password which we didn’t know or ever have to use beforeI then asked what was needed to get into the system because we did not have a passwordI also said that this password was never needed before we dropped off the computer. I was told (not sure of exact words) that the hard drive would have to be wiped clean and everything reloaded onto the hard drive. I told them to go ahead and do itI then got a call saying the hard drive was constantly running and needed to be replaced. I asked how much and they told meI said go ahead and do itI then get a call saying they could not replace the hard drive because it was part of the motherboard (again, not sure of terminology)I asked what that would cost and I found it would be too expensiveI was told that they had a few computers for my wife to look atI told them “I DID NOT WANT REFURBISHED OR USED COMPUTERS”I was told they had a couple for me to look atI told him I’d bring my wife in the next day to look at the computers he had and pick up the old computer. When we got there on the afternoon of March 25, we were shown two laptopsHe showed us two systems one being an *** computer and the other being the *** Inspiron My wife then asked him in front of me if they were “NEW” computers or refurbishedHis response was “they were right out of the box”When we decided to get the *** he said that he would give us extra off because it was a display modelWhen we purchased the computer we were told that we had a month warranteeWe were never offered the box that the unit was shipped in or any paperwork on the computerAs for a receipt, we were given a small receipt showing we paid $for it with a business cardWe were given the charging cord to go with itWhen we got home I tried to reboot the old computer that had the heating issue only to find that the entire system was gone…Someone wiped out the system that was only having heating issues but worked. When we got home and plugged in the computer with the charging cord I saw that they removed the label that your business puts on customers items when they bring them in for repairsThis told me that this unit had been in for repairs previously. We booted up the computer and when I went to connect to our wifi I discovered that about different wifi names came up, again showing us it was used beforeThis was not an “out of the box” computer, if it was then it was a box that this used machine was shipped inThe wifi addresses even listed a Buffalo wifi address and a Hotel addressI turned on our other computer to make sure the addresses did not show up on my computer and they didn’t. Again telling us this was not a “new” computer. The wife liked the computer so we kept if for a week only to find the following problems. The blue screen of death three times.Three times when turning on the computer it would start to start up and shut off. 3.A notice saying “That the AC power adapter wattage and type could not be determinedThe battery may not charge….etcI returned the computer to the Albany store and asked for a managerThe young man working there said he was the manager, the same story I got before from other workersI told him that I was having trouble with it and wanted my money backHe said that he didn’t have the authority to return my money and would have to get hold of either the president or vice president I’m not sure which, I asked him when he would have an answer for me and he responded probably around pmI asked him to call me when he didI still haven’t heard back from anyone. If this cannot be resolved, my next step is to file a charge with the Albany Police Department, stating that you are doing business under pretenseThe next step, if needed, will be to go to court and sue for the cost of the *** computer and the cost of a computer to replace the computer that your employees destroyed.Lastly, to file a complaint with the Albany Revdex.com, similar to the one that was filed against your East Greenbush storeI hope this issue can be resolved quicklyWe are looking for a 100% resolution in this matter
