Review: On May 14, 2013, Mr. [redacted] of Computer Associates of Helena MT, came out to the house to service our computer for a virus. He began to work on it and said he needed to bring the computer home to address it fully. We agreed. He called later and informed us that virus was cleaned from the computer and that we owed him $275 which he wanted in cash if possible. He brought the computer out while I was at work on May 15. My husband was home. He hooked up the computer. [redacted] said that he needed a receipt. Mr. [redacted] said he did not have a receipt and would have to go to his house and get one. [redacted] said that he wasn't going to give him the money until we got a receipt. Mr. [redacted] brought back the receipt and [redacted] paid him. When I got home I was upset because he did not hook up my printer again, the computer was running really slow and the virus protection program that he installed was given a message that said it was outdated. I called to inform him of this the next day, and he said that I had a bad virus but did not offer any suggestions to fix it. I had to go on-line to the technical support people for the virus protection to get some help to address the many issues that he did not fix. They helped me to address many issues but not all. I called Mr. [redacted] back and asked him if he would come back to the house to address the issues and that I wasn't paying him anymore as he did not complete the job. He was willing to help only if I would bring the computer to him. I am 65 years old and cannot figure out how to unhook everything or to hook it back up again. He said he was uncomfortable coming to our home. I told him he would be dealing directly with me not my husband, but he was unwilling. [redacted] called him prior and apologized to him for being rude to him about the receipt. I would not recommend Computer Associates to anyone. I would like some of my money back for a service he did not deliver.Desired Settlement: I paid him $275 for a service that he did not complete. I would like at least $150 back as a settlement for a service he did not deliver adequately.
