[redacted]

In response to Mr. [redacted]s complaints, I will address them one at a time.
1) Complaint of Broken personal...

property.  That took place over 8 years ago.  I explained at that time that the installer was an independent, therefore responsible for his work and that Mr. [redacted] needed to take his issue of the broken cooler up with him.
2) I never knew about a charge for cable because we never charge anyone for cable.  It is free. So if the independent contractor charged him for the cable I knew nothing about it.
3) Mr. [redacted] said that he call for an upgrade and requested anyone other than the Computer Barn.  Again, if he made that request, a change order is put through for the company's representative to do not Computer Barn.
4) It takes 3 to 5 days shipping, but for some reason this one took 6 days for the equipment to arrive. We have not control over shipping.  I told him that I would call him when the equipment came in.  Which I did and we scheduled a day for the install to be done.
5) That day we had a job in the morning to do which took longer than expected.  When we arrived, my installer looked at the old job at Mr. [redacted]'s house and realized that installation procedures had change so much in 8 year that a new install would be required not a simple upgrade.  It  was already  3:35 and the installation could not be finished in the time allotted.  I understand Mr. [redacted] being upset but we couldn't finish the job so when we wanted to reschedule but he wanted no part of that.  He stated that he was going to call [redacted] and ask for another installer.  I told him that he could do so.  It is called a change order.
6) Upon my return to the office, I called [redacted] and told them of the days occurrence and told them that the change order was OK by me and [redacted] would make note of it so the job is out of my hands at this point.
7) Days later Mr. [redacted] calls and wanted to know why we did not show up for the appointment, which we never made with him because he wanted someone else to do the work.  To make matters worst, my installer had a Bell Palsey Stroke and was unable to see out of his right eye and therefore could not do the work and was out for a month.  I told Mr. [redacted] of this but it made no difference to him.  His last words to me was that he wanted someone else to do the job so I was not even thinking of doing the work for him after our last conversation.
8) Just to make it clear, once Mr. [redacted] called [redacted] to complain, it took me out of the picture totally.  I also have no knowledge of a computer that was brought to us to be repaired around Christmas of 2013.  We have a computerized tracking system that keeps track of all computers brought in to us and we show that the last time he brought a computer in to us was in 2007.
I am sorry for the way matters occurred.  Our goal is to provide service to our customers which we have done for over 13 years.
Sincerely,

Review: First tech installed satellite Broke over $100 personal property, said to send the bill to Computer Barn they would pay, they refused said I would have to collect from the Tech personally. Charged for cable used by the foot in installation [redacted] the Co. they were installing for said cable is included free, so [redacted] gave me 30 days free in internet. Call [redacted] for an up grade, asked that The Computer Barn NOT install it, but was told that they were the only local dealer. Company said that the upgrade takes approximately 3 days. the owner of the Computer Barn came out a week later, looked at it and said he had to order the equipment and would be back in three days, Six days later I called and was told the equipment not there yet. The next day they called to set up a time at 11 o'clock 3 days from then. 3:35 on the day of the appointment they showed up. The new Tech looked at existing service and said that who ever installed it did it so poorly that he could not understand how it worked at all, or had not done damage to my computers. He said that it was NOT eligible for an upgrade but would have to have a totally new installation done .He asked what who did the initial work I said owners Co. the one you are working for. He call the Computer Barn and they re scheduled another appointment the following week at 9 o'clock. They Never Show Up! I called the owner and explained that I had taken 3 days off of work and still was with out service. He said that I had called [redacted] to Complain "which I did " and that he would never install any thing for me. I called [redacted] and they sent a person from Roanoke Va. ,70 miles away, and completed the installation on the data and time they said they would . Also I took a computer in to the Computer Barn to refurbish for a Christmas present for my children. He told me it was ready with all the upgrades for games etc. It would not run a single game or load anything. Big present for the children on Xmas morning a total bust. He said to bring it back and he would make it right, no charge, for I had already paid him $70. I went to get it with my children, he was not there but the person at the desk said I could not have it until I paid another $70! This was the Owners direct order he saidDesired Settlement: For people to Be Aware!! He should not be able to get away with this.
