I brought my wifes laptop in to their Ellsworth store. I told them that the fan needed to be replaced. The man behind the counter told me, "no problem, we have a used one we can put in it for 20 bucks..." At no point did anyone ever mention a diagnostic fee. Nor, is there a sign anywhere in the store saying so. After two weeks, someone calls me and tells me they will replace the fan but it will be a little over a hundred bucks. I say thanks but no thanks, I'll come pick it up and do it myself! So, when I pick it up the guy tries to charge me a 40 dollar "diagnostic fee" even though I told them what was wrong with it. And of course, at no point had I been informed of any such charge, in any way. I settled, against my better judgement, and loudly protesting! On 20 dollars...
