Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have had the computer in question for a number of years.  I did not have a windows user password activated on the overall computer. When I  first came in  with the laptop, we turned on the computer, [redacted] the technician asked for the password and I told him I did not use a password for the overall computer. I told him I was going to be using it in a more public place and asked him to show me how to put a password on the user at the beginning of the session.  He wrote that on the invoice so he was certain to remember it, and showed me how to put on a password when I came in to pick it up. There was also another young technician  a Chinese fellow when I brought the laptop in and turned it on who looked at it to examine the screen brightness when the Operating system was in full effect.  The two tecnicians were both looking at the screen brightness in the open Windows and trying to physically adsjust it and talk to me.
There were 3 employees in the shop.  [redacted] was also standing behind the desk  listening to [redacted]- and corrected him when [redacted] quoted me for $45, told me it was $49.  That is how I knew [redacted]'s name- because [redacted] addressed him. [redacted] was there later in the day- after 5:00 when I came to pick up the laptop and showed me how to add the password- and remove it if---  which we did.  [redacted] was there talking to a medical insurance agent about getting coverage.   A third guy may have been behind the wall behind the desk.   The following day, Friday afternoon when I returned, [redacted] was alone in the shop.
[redacted] has been blatantly caught in two lies- first telling me he knew for a fact that SpyHunter spread these viruses- when it is known in the industry for curing them-  and writing to you the machine had a Windows password on it at the time.  That was one of the first questions the technician asked me as we plugged in the computer and booted it up.  There were witnesses.
After [redacted] and I had our discussion about the virus- I went next door to the smog shop to try  to find the building landlord- since this was a new location for them.  I am a neighbor, frequently go for walks, and they had balloons and signs out, and offered a free laptop cleaning.  I spent some time talking to the fellows there- and when I came back into the shop- there was a Chinese technician that [redacted] was talking to -  and [redacted] declared to him that I was a racist- which was ironic because [redacted] is middle eastern and so were the guys in the smog shop.  I was next door for 15-20 minutes, because one of the men at the smogshop  was asking me very detailed questions about how to get antispyware, antimalwayre, the difference between freeware and shareware, and trusted download sites, took my name and phone number, said he would give it to the landlord,  and asked me if he could call me personally if he had questions- I said yes. Again [redacted] lies  like a rug.
Regards,
[redacted]

[email protected] Settlement: I took my cell phone to repair a cracked screen. Everything else worked prior to repair, just needed to replace a cracked screen. I paid for the screen prior approximately $20 which they ordered off of E-Bay, applied to my balance due that included tax they said and then $49 to install the screen a couple days latter. I paid and left and found that my speaker was not working after there technician open and closed my phone. If I knew this was going to be the result of letting them work on my phone with new non prior problems except a cracked screen, I would have never taken my phone to this screen repair company. I asked them how they would resolve this and they said that they never tested the phone for these other items, that worked prior to letting them work on my phone. Requesting at least my $49 back they would not refund.I asked how they might want to resolve this, they indicated they could not find a speaker on line. They insisted they were a reputable business. They would look with in one day. I just wanted my money back, with my old cracked screen, they declinded and I instructed them I will take them to small cliams court to recover my paid expense and fees for inproper and faulty product installiation.

Review: The product I purchased was defective and the business will not give me a refund. I bought a MacBook Pro charger that sparked then started smoking when I plugged it in to my computer. It has been an hour and both the charger and computer still smell like burnt plastic, not to mention I almost electrocuted myself. The owner (he will not disclose his name) informed me that he pays the Revdex.com off to maintain "positive" reviews. These products I'm assuming are black market but I don't want to come to false accusations. I would appreciate if the Revdex.com could put this business under review . Please contact me as soon as possible. Thank you! [redacted]Desired Settlement: $47 for charger defective + $10 for gas

Hello..

The customer wrote a bad review on the social media website. She came over to the store very upset. I asked her about the proof of purchase receipt date which has the rules and terms and date of purchase to validate her warranty. She told me she doesn't have it. I told her it is fine I will exchange it as she think it is defective and lets try a new charger. And that was after a long talk.. I didnt want her to be upset. She refused and she demanded to get a refund as she is telling us she used it for almost 3 weeks. We dont do returns. Its clearly mentioned on the paper no return. She demanded ok I will accept an exchange it only with a charger that is made in USA cause the charger that we sold it to her is made in china. We dont have a charger that is made in USA. I apologized to her and I told her I tried my best but I cant find you a Mac charger that is made in USA. She stayed about 3 hours in the store. She was insisting on every customer to leave the store and saying bad things about us. I lost about 5 customers cause of her. Threatening us to contact Revdex.com and the police. Finally cause she didnt get what she wanted she called the San Diego Police Department. They showed up later and after they heard my side and her side they escorted her out of the store.

Review: My daughter cracked her [redacted] screen. My wife noticed a kiosk in the [redacted] parking lot that advertised cell phone screen replacement for 45 dollars. Upon arrival, the kiosk is empty but there were business cards and a note saying if the kiosk was empty to go to [redacted] near [redacted]. The business cards say that [redacted] screen replacement are a flat 49 dollar rate. When we get to the [redacted] address, the first thing I see is a $65 dollar quote for screen replacement. For some reason, we proceed to enter establishment anyway. The clerk/tech then tells us that for an [redacted] the fee will be $85 dollars plus tax. Nowhere posted is there a price for $85. My wife and I are frustrated, but we don't want to drive around anymore so we decide to have the screen replaced. If this is advertising that is acceptable, I have to wonder why? Clearly it is misrepresenting the price, preying on customers that would rather just get it done, instead of looking for a reputable place elsewhere. The story doesn't end here. The day after the screen was replaced, my daughters phone stopped working. Never had an issue with the phone prior to Computer Geek 911 opening up the phone. So my wife and daughter go back to the store and speak with the tech. He smiles smugly, and tells them it will cost us another 100 dollars to open up phone, and that my daughter must have dropped it to make it not work. I believe the tech tampered with the phone to break it intentionally so we would have no alternative but to bring back to them. Poor customer service as well. A reputable business would use this opportunity to build goodwill with a customer. Would apologize for the inconvenience and offer to take a look, without demanding 100 dollars not even knowing what was wrong, or even if it was reparable. If this keeps even one person from being taken advantage by the "Geeks", I will consider this complaint successful. I have never filed a complaint with the Revdex.com in my entire life.Desired Settlement: Would like to be reimbursed for the $100.44 spent for a new screen and screen protector.

Review: I took my older laptop computer with Windows 7 in for a free cleaning- and paid them $49 to install a screen part I had on hand. They demanded ot be paid in cash only. When they returned the computer to me- they had installed all sorts of additional unwanted, unasked for computer software like outfox.tv and joust. Moreover some of my web programs were hijacked. I spent the following morning using Malware Bytes, Anvisoft, AntiSpyware, registry cleaners, Spybot,,Spyware Blaster, etc.- apps that I have installed over the years and use regularly, (including just prior to taking the computer to them, to clean it. My boot up time which average 76-90 second now runs around 130. Moreover when I use an open tab in Mozilla Firefox instead of going to my facebook home page it now goes to IObit facebook page instead. When I took the computer back into the store [redacted] turned on the computer. I told him I had removed most of it but could not get it all and was upset that they had not gotten my permission to install apps- especially not spyware. I wanted him to remove the balla I am a 63 year old woman. He noticed I had SpyHunter 4 on my machine- I told him I had just installed it that morning to help identify- He claimed that was the problem- he knew for a fact that Spyhunter installed specious software viruses and spyware. I told him "[redacted]!" http://antispyware.esoftreviews.com/spy-hunter-review/ He said if I was going to be rude I could leave.. I told him I wanted the software he put on removed - I kept the code id from the outfox.tv before deleting it. He said if I did not leave- he would call the cops. I invited him to go ahead. He told me I could not stay there all day. I am taking this guy down. I think he gets paid a commission to install this software which collects owner information and the ID tells the software firm who gets the credit. Outfox.TV it’s technically not a virus, but it does exhibit plenty of malicious traits, such as rootkit capabilities to hook deep into the operating system, browser hijacking, and in general just interfering with the user experience. The industry generally refers to it as a “PUP,” or potentially unwanted program. There were over 1000 PUPs reported on my machine- after my "free cleaning"Desired Settlement: I want my my computer free of virus, malware, spyware and software I did not install. Also if you look at Yelp reviews- [redacted] targets his victims- very sporadic.
