Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.

Air Specialist installed the system for its customer [redacted] in 2003. The homeowner, [redacted], last contacted Air Specialist for service in September 2007. At no time between 2004 through 2007 did Ms. [redacted] mention any problems with water leaks. Additionally, The [redacted]...

[redacted] inspected the installation at the time that the home was under construction and confirmed that the installation was proper and done according to the code in effect at the time of the inspection. Our labor warranty on the installation expired 2 years after the closing of the home. [redacted] from Air Specialist has spoken to this homeowner in October 2014 during which we reiterated the above facts. At this time, we will be happy to come to the home and assist the homeowner. However, she will have to agree to pay our diagnostic charge and any quoted cost of repairs for the following reasons:
1. The labor warranty expired 2 years from the date of original closing of the home (expired in 2005).
2. The coil in question was properly installed according to code and inspected by the [redacted].
3. No mention was made during our visits to the home from 2004 through 2007 of any water problems.
4. We did not perform maintenance on the system and no evidence exists in our possession that the homeowner had such required annual maintenance performed.
5. By the Homeowners own admission, other contractors have interfered with the system since our last visit. As such, we cannot be held responsible for any actions or changes by these other contractors on the system that most likely impacted the performance of the system.
We respectfully request that the Revdex.com close this complaint as resolved.

Review: On Monday, November 17th or Tuesday, November 18th, I brought my [redacted] to the Establishment in question. It was repaired and I paid 101.60 on November 20th. I brought it home, it worked, and I was content with the fix. Now it is December 17th and the [redacted] is not working. I called the establishment to see what they could do, and they said there would be no warranty since it had been repaired before (even though it was repaired by the same establishment) and the fault is with how [redacted] made the product, not with them. I was also told that if it was repaired again, it wouldn't last very long and I would only be able to get my data off of the machine. I asked them why they did not provide me with this information when I brought it in on the 17th, as I wouldn't have paid money for a fix that was only temporary. They apologized, but said they could not refund my money. They even said they don't actually replace any parts, they just heat and solder parts of the unit to get it working again. Basically, they were aware this was a temporary fix, they knowingly don't warranty these fixes if they have been repaired before, and today is the first time I'm hearing any of this. I requested a refund since this information was not provided to me up front, to which they said they couldn't do, and they do not see what's wrong with their policies and procedures.Desired Settlement: A refund of 101.60 for the repair they knew was only temporary.
