I am sorry Mr [redacted] is still unsatisfied Returning his money and doing all the research to determine if his files were repairable is the most I can do.I spoke to the [redacted] shop on [redacted] *** He took his computer there and they had it for over weeks attempting to fix it before he called me They told him he had been infected with a virus that had permanently damaged his files. When I was at his house, all I did was give the antivirus permission to begin a virus removal He authorized me to do it before I did The machine was functioning when I left.In addition, he forwarded me viral email and refused to believe they were not legitimate So, obviously he does not believe any technician.I told him not to use the computer on the Internet any longer I was trying to be delicate If I had used the terminology of the technician on [redacted] , I too would have said the computer was trash

The computer lady removed a file, or files on the Dell computer where [redacted] the Technician at the [redacted] located on [redacted] ***, in Grand Junction said everything on the computer was locked up, to the point nothing would open, the computer was considered trashBefore the computer lady removed files it was working with no problems other then the pictures would not open, but I was able to get online, open my excel, and word doc’s, etc., so what ever file, or files she removed ruined the computer

I received a call from "***" on Tuesday May He left a message simply stating "***, this is [redacted] on [redacted] ***...I really need you" I had worked for him years before and knew he used a lot of outdated equipment and software There were two times since the last time I worked for him where I had referred him to a [redacted] I work with But, when I returned his call he again said how much he needed my help so I agreed to schedule an appointment for the next day, May 20, at 10:30am.I arrived on time and he immediately told me how the computer store had his tower for over weeks and it was still not fixed He said he had pictures that showed as thumbnails but would not open on his XP machine He said he had moved those pictures to his new Windows tower but they would not open there either Then he said he had "refreshed" his Windows computer the day before and it had uninstalled all the programs he put in, but left all the icons.I had not sat down at the computers yet When I did his Windows XP machine showed that the antivirus was trying to remove infections and needed approval, which I gave it.This man is very angry He would not let me finish a sentence or complete even one task before starting on another explanation of another p***lem I worked on his computers for just under 1/hours I took a copy of some of the pictures to see if I could determine if they would open on a computer which wasn't on his network I told him that I would work at home, if the pictures opened I would bring them back and we would settle up then I left for my next appointment.By the time I got back to my office that evening he had left messages on my answering machine When I opened my email, he had repeated the same information there I responded by email with a quick answer and said I would call him the next day.On Thursday morning, May 21, I spent over hours at my office doing research and working with the photo file It became obvious that his XP computer had become infected with an encryption virus that had corrupted all his photos There was nothing I could do He had already sent another email I decided that sending a detailed reply to all his email and questions seemed like the best way to approach the whole situation I had been emphatic that I would help with his picture p***lem, and attempt to move them into the Windows machine But, I would not work with the XP machine for him.I am forwarding a copy of the email I sent him, with his reply I care very much about my customers and it hurt to have to write the email the way I did I was so insulted and infuriated by his threats that I immediately rescheduled my day and returned his money to him He would not answer the door so I left it wrapped in paper, tucked behind his Video doorbell I left a detailed message on his front door voice recorder, but he sent yet another message saying it was not working and wanted to know what I said.I would really appreciate it if you could not publish his complaint I feel I did my best considering the situation and would not feel safe returning to this man's house There is no reason why I should have to pay for his future technical support He brought all his p***lems on himself I returned his money despite doing over hours of work, in addition to the time it's taken to defend myself against him.Could someone please call me and let me know what you will do[redacted] is my cell number.Thank You, [redacted] Computer Lady

Be advised I took the computer to *** *** for repair over a year ago, and it was running fine with some minor issues, only recently I could not view my pictures was the only problem, she making it sound like this recently happenNothing was ever said from the repair shop that there was permanent damage? Bottom line is as stated before, the computer is trash because of her incompetents

I received a call from "[redacted]" on Tuesday May 19.  He left a message simply stating "[redacted], this is [redacted] on [redacted]...I really need you".  I had worked for him years before and knew he used a lot of outdated equipment and software.  There were two times since the last time I worked...

for him where I had referred him to a [redacted] I work with.  But, when I returned his call he again said how much he needed my help so I agreed to schedule an appointment for the next day, May 20, at 10:30am.I arrived on time and he immediately told me how the computer store had his tower for over 3 weeks and it was still not fixed.  He said he had pictures that showed as thumbnails but would not open on his XP machine.  He said he had moved those pictures to his new Windows 8 tower but they would not open there either.  Then he said he had "refreshed" his Windows 8 computer the day before and it had uninstalled all the programs he put in, but left all the icons.I had not sat down at the computers yet.  When I did his Windows XP machine showed that the antivirus was trying to remove infections and needed approval, which I gave it.This man is very angry.  He would not let me finish a sentence or complete even one task before starting on another explanation of another p[redacted]lem.  I worked on his computers for just under 1 1/2 hours.  I took a copy of some of the pictures to see if I could determine if they would open on a computer which wasn't on his network.  I told him that I would work at home, if the pictures opened I would bring them back and we would settle up then.  I left for my next appointment.By the time I got back to my office that evening he had left 2 messages on my answering machine.  When I opened my email, he had repeated the same information there.  I responded by email with a quick answer and said I would call him the next day.On Thursday morning, May 21, I spent over 2 hours at my office doing research and working with the photo file.  It became obvious that his XP computer had become infected with an encryption virus that had corrupted all his photos.  There was nothing I could do.  He had already sent another email.  I decided that sending a detailed reply to all his email and questions seemed like the best way to approach the whole situation.  I had been emphatic that I would help with his picture p[redacted]lem, and attempt to move them into the Windows 8 machine.  But, I would not work with the XP machine for him.I am forwarding a copy of the email I sent him, with his reply.  I care very much about my customers and it hurt to have to write the email the way I did.  I was so insulted and infuriated by his threats that I immediately rescheduled my day and returned his money to him.  He would not answer the door so I left it wrapped in paper, tucked behind his Video doorbell.  I left a detailed message on his front door voice recorder, but he sent yet another message saying it was not working and wanted to know what I said.I would really appreciate it if you could not publish his complaint.  I feel I did my best considering the situation and would not feel safe returning to this man's house.  There is no reason why I should have to pay for his future technical support.  He brought all his p[redacted]lems on himself.  I returned his money despite doing over 3 hours of work, in addition to the time it's taken to defend myself against him.Could someone please call me and let me know what you will do...[redacted] is my cell number.Thank You,[redacted]Computer Lady
