A business purchase was made from Microcenter years ago A WINBOOK It needed replacing in less than a year A 2nd WINBOOK was purchased with the gift card issued by Microcenter because they found that the repairs would be more expensive to make then it would be to refund the retail value of the tablet Less than year later from the 2nd purchase, I brought the 2nd device in because it was experiencing the same issues I received a call from the technician advising that again the product was not worth repairing and that a gift card would be issued for the retail value (Friday @ 7pm) The following Monday a call was placed to customer service to insure that the transaction would be smooth Unfortunately, the CSR or the TECH claimed to have no record of the repair request They were unable to locate the order under the name which was exactly printed on the repair receipt They insisted on receiving a RP# which was never printed on the receipt (empty field) When asked if they could look up the requests on that a specific date using the date and time the receipt was provided, since it was not my error which caused them not to be able to locate the transaction, Mike said, in a very condescending manner, "sure I can do that for you....I can look up 50-service requests to locate your specific order..." He went on and on to explain how busy he was and by the end of his little speech he told me very frankly and sarcastically that, he doesn't have the time to do such a thing So I asked him if I could speak to someone who did have the time to address my customer service concerns and repair issue He placed a Manager on the phone who immediately asked for the name printed on the receipt (given exactly from the paperwork) He immediately stated that he was able to locate the order, but it was under a business name, which was also given, during prior conversations with the other representatives He found the repair order in less than seconds and stated that it was under a name of the organization, not the name which was printed on the receipt However, I hadn't given him the name of the organization just yet He did not apologize for the amount of time spent, the rudeness of the technician and the misunderstanding which was clearly no fault of my own, instead he tried to justify the lack of compassion, attention, concern and customer service, by advising me that I should have simply come in to work out the issues He basically ended the call by giving me a RP# and stating that I would need to give the information to the representative who is picking up yet another gift card He even stated arrogantly, "well we've fond the order now" as if to say "get over it lady" Now I have to use the gift card that they provided me in order to replace the device and it is very disheartening I would prefer to go spend my money elsewhere Needless to say, I was furious by this time and felt very unappreciated and disrespected as a customer Over the years I have made many purchases both personal and business and I have received a uncaring vibe in the past but never to this extent
