Dear MsClopton,
I am responding to the complaint filed by *** ***. Upon further research of the member's account, Mrs*** spoke with the member account department on February 4, 2014, because her account is delinquentWhile she was on the phone with the member
account representative Mrs*** inquired about cancelling their membershipIt was explained to her that they could attempt to sell it or transfer the membership to a family member or friend, or, we could do a Mutual ReleaseMrs*** told the representative to complete the Mutual Release form and mail it to her and that she and her husband would sign it and return itThe Mutual Release is a document that releases the member from any further financial obligations ONCE the agreed upon amount is received to cancel the membershipThe contract states that should a member wish to cancel the membership prior to their lifetime, a minimum of years dues would be collected to accelerate the monies that the company would have normally collected during the lifetime of the membershipAs requested by Mrs***, the representative sent the Mutual Release document for their signaturesOn February 18, 2014, we received the Mutual Release document back from Mrs*** with "VOID" written across the page and a note telling us to terminate the contract; that they had fulfilled the year obligation of paying annual duesThe member account representative that has been working with Mrs*** sent the Mutual Release document to her with the expectation that she would follow through with the required cancellation process that they had discussed over the phoneIt appears that the ***'s never intended on doing that and I've told the account representative not to spend any more time on this
I will be mailing another Mutual Release document indicating "no monies owed", to the ***'s for their signaturesOnce we have received the signed document from them we will cancel their membership and close their account with TLC Wolf River ResortAt that time, they will have no further rights to use said membership and they will have no further financial obligations to TLC Wolf River Resort
If you have any further questions you can contact me at ***
Sincerely,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. A couple of corrections to the response although it appears that the resort is willing to cancel the membership and we no longer have business with them. The account representative did tell me about sending the mutual release agreement although I never stated I agreed and my statement to her was "whatever" when she said she would send. I consulted with a lawyer friend when I received the notice and we both agreed that there were no legal reasons I should agree to such a release therefore that is why I returned with a letter and voided release.
Thanks for your help in resolving this problem
Regards,
