Con Tec Custom Concrete

Review: Con-tec custom concrete installed a new patio for us. The new patio is pitched toward the house. The sealer and coloring started to fade and flake off after only a few months. The owner made an attempt to patch the patio to change the pitch. This did help a bit, but the water still does not run off properly. The owner has promised several times to correct these issues but never shows up to do the work. Phone calls are not returned. In response to your letter dated June 11, 2014, and received by Con-Tec, Inc. on June 14, 2014, regarding the issue with the concrete pitch, this issue was taken care of last year. According to the level the pitch issue was resolved to the owner’s satisfaction. In addition, just to clarify the whole patio is not pitched back to the house. It is only approximately an 18” X 24” area in the corner under an overhang we are discussing. This area had a negative pitch of less than ¼”. We, Con-Tec, Inc., built this area up and pitched it out.

The other issue is regarding a reseal. It is not the color coming off. I told the homeowner I would be there to reseal in spring 2014, when the weather was conducive. Well, as you know, the weather here in Wisconsin has not cooperated this spring and has set me gravely behind. Thus it has made it difficult for me to get to the reseal momentarily. But, I stand by my word, and I have every intention to get to my customer to reseal. In this business that is completely dependent on the weather, it is impossible to pin down dates with my clients. But I always keep my word.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. The owner of Con-Tec concrete came out and met with me. Together we came up with a solution to the problems I was experiencing. Con- Tec has been at my home this week correcting the area that had been giving me trouble. The work is scheduled to be completed this weekend (weather permitting). I am very happy with the work and responce from the owner of Con-Tec.
