Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Common internet service provider practices means allowing spammers to use your services and ignoring abuse reports? These people never had my permission to use my data, unsubscribing does nothing and you still allow them to carry on? But then of course you make money from it, you don't care about the fact they are spamming peopleA very poor response from what is clearly not a reputable hosting company Regards, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
Interserver stated that they reject the affiliate sign ups because they don't allow "affiliates to refer themselves." That is not what happens, I don't refer myself I am referring my students As a web design instructor, I tell my students about paid hosts and free hosts I tell them about Interserver and some choose to sign up with them, and others don't That, in turn, gives Interserver business and more money I therefore made a referral, but am not being paid the referral bonus which isn't right I don't force the students to use Interserver I just tell them about their services, which I think are great, and they choose for themselves whether they want to sign up with them or not Because they sign up on our campus, the IP of each account that is created is the same The whole campus has the same external IP So Interserver believes that I am referring myself to make money which is not the case They are profiting off of all the business I am giving them, and they say they will pay people to refer them customers, but they are not doing that They are using this cheap IP loop hole to not have to do the right thing I have been an affiliate with a couple other web hosts and even with the IP issue they still paid out the referral bonuses Interserver is the first company I've dealt with that is trying to use a loophole to get out of doing the correct thing What it all comes down to is I made a referral that brings Interserver more customers/business, so I should be compensated for that

I am rejecting this response because:Customers that pay for your service isn't a "quality" referral? That doesn't make any sense I told them about Interserver, they signed up for it, that is a referral plain and simple That shouldn't be denied What Interserver is doing here is wrong

I cannot change our policy for him. If he is a web master, church or school. The same rules will still apply. I have no way to verify that he is a teacher or a bunch of students scamming our affiliate system. Therefore I cannot make exceptions to special cases. Honestly he does not need to profit off his kids. I’m sure he is getting paid to teach. I doubt his school would be ok with him profiting at the students expense. And I am sure the students would be pretty upset if they found out the teacher is profiting off something they paid for. We are big supporters of schools and nonprofits. In fact we offer free student web hosting for 1 year. [redacted]-[redacted] and completely free nonprofit hosting for life. [redacted] We always do the right thing by our clients.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have given them referrals and am not getting paid for them.  They are the ones scamming me.  I can prove we are a school.  Our IP at the school is [redacted].  If you look that up here:[redacted]You'll see that IP is owned and ran by the [redacted] which is a school that I work for.  I've also included a screenshot of it as well. And I'm pretty surprised that Interserver would call my moral/ethics into questions on this.  That's pretty insulting.  I let all my students know upfront that they have a choice.  I don't require them to go with Interserver.  I give them all the pros/cons of paid hosting and all of the pros/cons of the free host I recommend which is [redacted]  So I don't force them, it's their choice, and if they decide to go with Intersrever, I was the source of the referral so I should get reimbursed for it.  I'm not here to get rich off of it, I just want Interserver to do the right thing and pay out the referral bonus.  And if we want to talk about shady business practices this is the first time I'm hearing about the free year of hosting for students and this is definitely not the first time I've been in contact with Interserver.  So I can't drop this complaint since I've brought Interserver a lot of business but from now on I'll be telling my students about the free year, because even though Interserver is suggesting I'm this horrible person who's trying to profit off something at their "expense" (what expense?  Them learning web development?), I'm going to tell them about the free hosting because it is what's best for them.  So I don't wish to drop this complaint because it's a scam that they've rejected all the sign ups I've brought them, but I will be moving forward with telling my students about the free hosting because that's a great benefit to them.  [redacted]

Hello, i have found your ticket about the virus complaint. I have reopened it for further investigation. The issue will be fixed shortly.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:They haven't addressed their unethical business practice here.  They claim to pay for referrals made but because they don't happen in their own specific way, they don't give out the bonus.  It's not right.  They aren't budging, neither am I.
