Mr*** ***,
On behalf of the Trans Pro's, we would like to inform you that your vehicle is still under warrantyMr *** contacted The Trans Pro's on Feb 2nd, The Trans Pro's had informed Mr*** that the issue with his
vehicle was not a transmission problemThe customer is highly encouraged to bring his vehicle back for further transmission inspection free-of-chargeThe mechanics at Trans Pro's diagnosed that the current problem with Mr***'s vehicle is the break switchTherefore, the break switch was not letting the shifter move into gear properlyWe simply asked the customer to bring his vehicle in so we could further explain our diagnosisThe break switch is located inside the vehicle by the break pedalTransmission work is done on the outside of the vehicle under the hood and beneath the vehicleThe mechanics did not work inside the vehicle whatsoeverThe customer stated to the Trans Pro's over the telephone that he had friends/acquaintances who were familiar with vehicles, thus, referring to Mr***'s quote - "I've gotten two second opinions who beg to differ."
The Trans Pro's have yet to believe that his second opinions weren't from transmission specialists or any dealershipsThe Trans Pro's have not seen any receipts from licensed shops stating that the vehicle had transmission issuesAgain, the staff at the Trans Pro's strongly encourage the customer to bring his vehicle in for free inspection due to warranty still in effectIt is apparant that the customer wants his money backHowever, the transmission was rebuilt and there is no evidence that the transmission has any problems*** *** informed the mechanics that he could not put the car in gearA defective break switch will not let you put the car in gear-meaning that's a break switch issue and not a transmission problem
Thank you,
The Trans Pro's

Contact Name and Title: Hobart Transmissions
Contact Phone: 219-942-
Transmission was rebuilt on December We towed the vehicle back on April of and found out that the transmission was abused by the customer using the SChevy
Pitruck like a 'dump truck'They had installed 4Xsheets of plywood on the sides and the front of the bed of the truck so they could load it up as much as possible, ftabove the bed height by hauling a massive overload.Found tickets on the floorboard from the Joliet U-Puscrap yard showing that they loaded up to 4,lbs in that vehicle that we are aware ofThere was at least ten invoices from the scrap yard lying on the floorWe informed the customer that he should not overload the vehicle that muchHe stated that we was under warrantee and no matter how many times he broke it that he would still be under that warranteeWe informed him that there was no warrantee on abuseCustomer came and picked up his vehicle and called us again a month later on a Saturday in the month of May We told him that we would come on Monday morning to tow the vehicleWe called the customer on that Monday morning so we could tow the vehicle, as we discussed previously over the telephone, and he informed us that he was having another shop fix itWe told him that we have to warrantee everything at this shop and he never gave us the opportunity to go and tow it so we could re-examine the vehicle even though he gave us the "okay" to do so on that Saturday that he contacted usWe strongly believe that the customer overloaded the vehicle again which could have possibly blew the transmission again resulting in the customer not wanting to go through with the tow that we had planned on that Monday morningWe feel that he did not want us to see the damage that he had done by overloading the Chevy once moreWe were never given the opportunity to re-check the vehicleAnd with another shop going into the transmission, this voids our warrantee contractThank you very much for taking the time to review this

CUSTOMER HAD HIS 2002 ISUZU TROOPER TOWED IN TO THE TRANS PROS ON 6-20-16. WE RECEIVED THIS LETTER ON 8-22-16. THE CUSTOMER GAVE AN [redacted] DEPOSIT DUE TO VEHICLE NEEDING SPECIAL ORDER/FOREIGN TRANSMISSION PARTS. AFTER REMOVING TRANSMISSION TO...

REBUILD IT, THE SHOP FOUND THAT THE CASE WAS BROKEN INSIDE AND COULDN'T BE REBUILT AND THAT HIS TRUCK WOULD NEED A NEW CASE OR DIFFERENT TRANSMISSION. THE SHOP INFORMED CUSTOMER THAT THE TRANSMISSION CASE WAS BROKEN AND UNREBUILDABLE. THE SHOP HAD AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CUSTOMER TO RESEARCH AND LOCATE A CASE OR ANOTHER TRANSMISSION FOR CUSTOMER'S VEHICLE. THE CUSTOMER TOLD THE TRANSMISSION SHOP TO TAKE THEIR TIME. THE SAME DAY THAT THE CUSTOMER CALLED FOR A PRICE QUOTE AND WANTED THE SHOP TO WORK ON HIS VEHICLE, THE CUSTOMER TOLD THE SHOP TO TAKE THEIR TIME AND TO NOT RUSH. THE SHOP SPENT TWO WEEKS LOOKING FOR A CASE AND TRANSMISSION WITHIN CUSTOMER'S ALLOWED BUDGET. THE SHOP NOR THE CUSTOMER COULD NOT FIND A CASE OR DIFFERENT TRANSMISSION FOR A GOOD PRICE AT THAT TIME. THE CUSTOMER DECIDED THAT HE WOULD NOT PUT ANY MORE MONEY INTO SUCH AN OLD VEHICLE. HE INFORMED THE TRANS PROS THAT HE WANTED HIS TRUCK TOWED BACK TO HIS HOUSE. THE SHOP TOWED CUSTOMER'S TRUCK BACK TO HIS HOUSE ON 7-30-16. CUSTOMER STATED THAT WE HAD HIS CAR FOR 10 WEEKS - THAT IS NOT THE CASE. WE HAD THE CUSTOMER'S TRUCK FOR APPROXIMATELY 6-7 WEEKS. SINCE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED, THERE IS A TOTAL OF TWO TOWING CHARGES;
1.) TO THE TRANS SHOP AND 2.) BACK TO CUSTOMER'S HOUSE. THE TOTAL COST OF LABOR AND DISSASSEMBLY IS [redacted] SINCE CUSTOMER GAVE AN [redacted] DEPOSIT, THE EXISTING BALANCE OWED IS [redacted]
THANK YOU,

The customer has his Chevy 1500 van towed in to The Trans Pros on 10-8-16. We gave the customer a price of [redacted] plus tax and fluid. The customer was told that a torque converter may be extra if needed. The Trans Pros told the customer...

over the phone that the warranty was 6 months or 6,000 miles. While the technicians realized a great amount of wear and tear on the van due to customer using van for cross-country hauling. Upon inspecting the transmission, the trans builder noticed that the torque converter needed to be replaced due to over-heating and color change, changing the torque converter would prevent damage on rebuilt transmission. The pump assembly also needed to be replaced due to torque converter making the pump unrebuildable which we normally rebuild at no extra cost. The customer agreed to replace the torque converter and pump assembly with a total price of about [redacted] The customer called a couple months later saying the transmission was acting up. The customer brought in his vehicle himself and we found out that the transmission was getting too hot because of him over-loading van and van needing a larger cooler in the 1500 light duty van for the work that he does. The customer would need a 3500 van for the work/hauling he does. The customer paid about [redacted] for the transmission cooler and paid nothing for rebuilding the transmission for a second time> which voided the warranty due to vehicle abuse. (However, we warranted the transmission anyways for customer satisfaction). When customer brought in vehicle again on 4-8-17, the van had 325,500 miles on it. With that being said, the customer is approximately 1,500 miles over warranty. The work performed on the customers van was done correctly. The customer simply over loads the van and needs a more heavy duty van for the work that he does. There is nothing more The Trans Pros can do for the customer due to the fact that his warranty is over.
Thank you,
The Trans Pros
