Ms Cheryl *** contacted me last year about a small hairline crack that appeared in her sidewalk, I mentioned to her that concrete cracksThere is rebar and fiber in the concrete and thus a crack should not be an issue in the sidewalkWith
the amount of rebar in the sidewalk, the exchange of base, a 3' crack will not be a problemIf there is some other issue below the concrete, I can not control such as water washing out creating a voidI am not saying that this is the issue, but there are so many different scenario's that could be at play under a 3' sidewalkCheryl called weeks ago and I scheduled a day, but must have slipped my mindI am not sure why she did not respond to me and let me know that I missed my appointment, not file with the Revdex.comI guess it is a bigger problem to her

This was never just about the crack
Chris called me the afternoon of 8/14/& I explained again as I had in July that my concerns were the chips/pieces of concrete coming away from the surface of crack & also the apparent wearing away of some color in less than a year
He indicated the loss of color may be the sealer wearing off, I replied he originally said it should last 3-years
Chris said he would be in Andover the end of the following week & would call before coming over
I was under the impression he would apply color and/or reseal
As of this morning 8/25/I have not heard from Chris

I explained to Ms*** that concrete does crack and there is rebar in the concrete so the moving that it does is not going to allow the concrete to separateI explained this to her and she mentioned she was fine with the crack as long as the little chip pieces get colorAs for the color, I would have to look at it because I have never seen color or sealer wear off in a yearIt does not see much sun so sunlight would not have been a factor for good quality sealerI left a message for her to ok me coming over tomorrow, but have not heard backI am a high school teacher and I am not sure she understands that we have workshops we need to attendMy intentions are to look at the color and determine what the issues areI have pictures of what it looked like before, I can look at those and look at what the current condition is and make a resolution
