He had advised Mr.[redacted] that the storm door would not close completely. Unfortunately, Mrs. [redacted] was not receptive to his interpretation of the facts and circumstances.

Mr. [redacted] did not cause damage to the storm door and feels bad that Mrs.[redacted] thinks that he had damaged her door. He believes that it was the younger individual that had entered the home that caused the damage to the storm door.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/08/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Unfortunately there are many discrepancies in this letter. First off when I left the home two hours prior my door was in complete working condition. The door opened properly to make my home accessible for my husband to both exit and enter my home, this is no longer the case. If this is to be the events as [redacted] states he was in a entirely different location from my door and would not have seen my 29 year old son enter our home. Or anyone else for that matter.Furthermore when he entered my home the door was functional. As he states upon leaving our home at [redacted] the door would not close (after he opened the storm door to exit). My husband did indeed inform [redacted] to leave the door alone so my 29 year old son could reset it, worrying [redacted] may damage the door pulling on it. I would like to note [redacted] is a very tall and well built man and could have used better judgement when he proceeded to try and pull the door closed. Which he did indeed pull on it and the hinges became pulled away. This storm door was specifically purchased because of the automatic locking open mechanism set by the manufacturer so my husband who at the time of purchase used a walker and now is permanently in a wheelchair and with this door he could safely enter and exit our home to set on our porch without any assistance. When I returned home that day I was unable to close the door at all due to the screws pulled away. The very next day a man from [redacted] in South Bend, IN attempted to help us close the door. I would like to note that this individual was here to install a power lift on my porch to make it easier to get my husband into a vehicle to make medical appointments. Now due to the damages to the door I am unable to so much as exit the home with my husband in his wheel chair because of the door damages. In the event of a emergency as of now my husband can not exit the home at all which deeply concerns him and myself. I am absolutely flabbergasted that he, [redacted] is in complete denial of his actions on that day and I have absolutely and with complete certainty no reason to cause a problem for himself or his business. We just wish for him to accept and acknowledge he broke the door and remedy the problem. As per my conversation with him on two (2) occasions both times he denied he broke the door and each of the calls he switched his story. I on the second call begged him to please not accuse me of being a liar about the door, he berated me and eventually brought me to tears at which time I hung up. We are doing the best we can to make our home accessible. My husband is only 55 years old and is deserving to be able to enter and exit our home safely. Ourselves along with Real Services of South Bend In. have worked hard as a team to make our home accessible for John and due to [redacted] carelessness, John is now unable to exit or enter home. I would like to add professionally his staff at Therapy Concepts were professional and knowledgeable to my husband and self. And did indeed assist my husband in rehab. What is appalling is the very owner of this company, [redacted] is being so reluctant to accept the damages he himself incurred. I would like to note that over the last two years multiple times the South Bend fire department has entered and exited my home to assist my husband. Some of those times have been to both bring John into our home or exit. Never on any of those occasions have we ever encountered any of these firemen or paramedics having a problems with this door. We ask for a professional resolution to a misfortune incident.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/08/24) */
am in receipt of your letter dated August 13, 2014 directed to Concept Therapy P.C. I had the opportunity to discuss your letter with Concept Therapy and was asked to provide you with their written response.
Concept Therapy adamantly denies that they or any of their representatives had caused damage to Mrs. [redacted] 's door. However, in the sprite of good faith and goodwill my client would; consider making a contribution toward the repair of the door. Before they can make any commitment they would need to know the cost of the repair. Please provide me with information regarding the cost of repair at you earliest opportunity and I will provide you with a prompt response.
Should-you have any-quotations please-feel free-to call me, Thank—you.
Yours very truly,
[redacted]
