Dear [redacted],In reference to complaint ID [redacted].At the time of accident, the tow driver was asked what the tow fee was. The response was, the tow itself is $125 not counting anything else. They would have to call the office. Our drivers are just that, drivers. All billing questions are to...

be directed to the office. The vehicle was towed on 3/16/17. They did not contact us till 3/20/17 meanwhile storage charges accrued.Had they called Friday they could have avoided being charged storage over the weekend. When we spoke on 3/20 the charges then were $380. They were also told every day after that was an additional $45 a day a new day beginning at 12noon, At that point, we also gave them the option of credit card payment. They then told us that their towing company would pay the charges at time of pick-up. We told them to have them call and tell us just that at that point, they got upset and went outside and left without any further communication from ether them or their towing company. On the morning of 3/21/17 owner called again asked again for charges at that point they were $425. We reiterated that a new day begins at 12 noon and that storage was still being applied at $45 a day. Therefore, by the end of business 3/21/17 the charges would be $470 as he would have to pay for an additional day of storage. The owner then said they only had $250. We told them we would accept that and the title to the trail as payment in full, we told them we did not feel the trailer was reparable and we would take whatever we got for the scrap and apply it towards payment in full whatever the value of the scrap would end up being. At that point, they said no they still wanted the trailer. Owner finally came back at 4:45 same day and had his tow company pick up trailer,In reference to the additional charges of cleaning and winching, there were wheels and tires and plastic from the trailer lights littered throughout the scene. The winching fee was due to the location of the trailer. It was several feet off the highway in a soft muddy snowy divider. Therefore, the tow driver did not want to become stuck in such area. Tow driver had to winch it back to the highway to load it on the tow truck. Keeping in mind, the wheels were entirely broken off and axles bent severely. We feel all things considered this was a reasonable charge. Had they responded sooner and removed the trailer from our facility on say Friday 3/17/17 or Saturday 3/18/17 the charges would have been considerably lower,We are required to register our fees with the PA state police and they are well posted in our office for the public to see. This is to avold any unforeseen charges. We do not feel obligated in any way to refund the cleaning, storage, or winching fees as they were all assessed properly.Regards,Timothy P
