This company will not return my money and it has been a very long process with them of trying to get it back. They we're not supposed to deposit my security deposit since they decided not to work with me and haven't since November 2019. I have called and emailed several times and they will not do anything. Several others have had the same issue and no one is doing anything to get this company to live up to their promises. The executives are unprofessional and business practices are only out to steal from people when they tell you the opposite.I just want my money back that I am entitled to.

I paid a deposit to rent the unit but they said I could not because they would not work with the housing I use.

Hello I would love to assist this person however no name was given, if the person complaining would like to give us a call and we can find out what is going on with the security deposit, we have no problem getting this figured out.

terrified of the reviews. I just left the same nightmare company... Ressco, they do the exact same thing, probably sit at the country club together drinking wine with our dollars in their pockets we have to ban together and boycott all these jerks... "let your dollars do the talking when your feet do the walking(to other establishments)"

Worst experience. Do NOT rent from them.
Columbus, Oh. Property.

They really dont fix anything, its not an exaggeration. People have skipped out and moved so they have more than just a few empty units yet they cant seem to have anyone fix things. Sounds like they have 1 maintenance person for both property locations.

If you contact their HQ they do not call you back. Basically their YouTube video is a sham because they dont care about thier residents. This company seems interested in collecting as much money as possible.

I have an a/c that is located in the ceiling because it is an old one level development and it is leaking fluid. It was out for 2 days and the thermostat was reading 90°. I called because at first it was not blowing air and started dripping. Someone came the next day. changed the filter and addede rude comments about it being filthy. Duh, the property mgmt, owners dont perform maintenance checks.

The maintenance person took out a screw and bolt and did not come back. 1 hour after he left, the a/c started dripping water. We called back and was told we have to wait till Monday. Now we have 1-bucket, 1-pail, and 1-large deep pan to catch the water literally pouring out when we turn on the a/c. I called back (4) times and get the same b.s. ... it is being escalated and the emergency maintenance person will be contacted because this is an emergency.

Called the front office and was told by their front desk that they "cannot maked the on call maintenance mgr do anything if he doesn't want to or he doesn't consider it an emergency."

So basically they dont care about the elderly who live in the apartment or the pets or the fact that there's water pouring out of the a/c which can start a fire.

If we had some place else to move to, we would. But we already pay close to $900.00 mo. for this dilapidated domicile that has absolutely NO motivational perks.. no pool, no gym, no basic cable, no nearby social areas... nothing. The only free you receive is the dog poop from people not picking up after their dogs, and the barrage of strange nature bugs that will crawl into your home.

So pissed is the polite description. The list goes on about others who have made requests to have things fixed and waited 3months or more to have their work order completed. My complaint is the tip of the iceberg. We have othe issues that need to be addressed. But If I cant get them to come out in a pinch during an emergency, how can I trust they will fix my NOW leaking shower faucet?

If I could give them a slum rating, they would get a 6 out of 10.

My husband and I (with our premature newborn baby) applied to Maple Creek Apartments in Sterling Heights, MI on March 4, 2019. Our original move-in date was Sunday, March 17, 2019. However, on Friday, March 15, we were going to call and see if we could move on Monday, March 18, because we were waiting on funds to transfer in order to move in. Before we could call, we received a call from the office with them telling us that the lease and everything was ready. I then asked about the March 18th date and was told that would be fine. We also wanted to see the apartment before we paid our move-in costs, and we were instructed to come in on that Sunday, March 17. When we arrived at the apartments on Sunday we were told that they did not have the keys back from maintenance so we were not able to get in to view the apartment. There was no communication given to us about this before we made the drive out there. The next day we were calling the office towards the end of the day to make sure somebody would be there a little bit after 6 PM since we were running behind schedule and still wanted to get our keys to move in. Whoever we talked to on the phone told us that the apartment wasn’t ready because the carpet vendors did not show up when they were supposed to the previous week. Then they told us that they were coming back on Wednesday, and that the apartment would be ready to move-in on Thursday, March 21, 2019. We waited until Thursday and showed up at the apartment ready to move-in, and when we got there we were informed that the carpet vendors ran out of carpet and there was two-tone carpet in place at the time, but they would come back the following week to finish it. We then went to look at the apartment to inspect the things you would normally inspect when moving into a new home. Upon opening the door, there was carpet parts and dirt right at the door and other things, such as closet doors off track, and other things that were not up to code for new tenants to move in.

Hello,

This was not how the story went. we did in fact have to move their move in date which they were fine with. They also asked us if they could push their move in date until April 1st. I was nice enough to Keep their price the same even though it technically should have changed by April 1st as a curtesy for the inconvenience. Once I contacted them that the apartment was ready, they wanted to cancel. Also when signing the lease, they sign stating that the reservation deposit is non refundable after 48 hours of application. When they canceled, it was well past the 48 hours.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 13479583, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:

The apartment was not ready any time we went up there to move in. When we did receive the email that it was ready, I could not get in touch with anybody, therefore we were not comfortable moving in. Yes, I understood the 48 hour policy, but we waited almost a week and a half just to find out whether we were approved or not, so technically we never really had a chance to use that policy if we wanted to. On top of that our original move-in date kept getting pushed back due to their vendors not showing up on time to fix the carpet. When we called about the April 1st date, it was to see if that could be an option, not to absolutely change the move-in date. Again, this is an example of the lack of communication and miscommunication I’ve been describing. All I’m asking is for our money to be refunded for the holding fee ($100), not the application fees. We were extremely inconvenienced, and we did everything we were supposed to do on our part.

Regards

They do not fix anything and will not answer the phone or return messages. Talk to residents really bad no customer skills.

This is the EXACT message I sent to the property.

Hello! I have now contacted the property 5 times regarding the air conditioning! No response! Surprise Surprise! Came home from work today to NO air conditioning at all! 2 work orders, call to the local office, 2 messages on here and 2 voicemails for ***. Our address is *** Louisville KY 40229. My phone number is 5***. Some kind of response, acknowledgement, something would be greatly appreciated. Sooner than later preferably

My family and I just moved into Citation Farms in Farmington Hills, MI. We have only been here three weeks and it has been a nightmare. My husband paid a $500 reservation fee to have a first floor 2/2 apartment. The day before my family and I flew in from Florida to Michigan, they told us that there was a mix up and our apartment wasn’t available. The day before! So my husband scrambled on the phone with them trying to find an apartment for us and our two children. They found a 2/2 with a den on the second floor. This is where the problems really began. They accidentally gave us a bogus address and when my husband went to set up power, and rental insurance he realized that the address wasn’t right. So the power company and rental insurance company were going to bathe us to cancel the services and put them to a new address. Citation Farms didn’t even apologize. Now when we got to the office to ask for a key, the key they gave us wouldn’t work. So they had to cut us new keys. Once we moved in, we realized that the den and the master bedrooms windows wouldn’t close all the way and the rooms were unlivable. The temperatures were in the single digits. How is this acceptable???? I could understand if this was Florida, it would be no big deal. But the rooms were just as cold as outside. Also the master bathrooms vent fan didn’t work so condensation runs down the walls after a shower. The balcony door doesn’t lock either. With young children this is a huge safety issue. This was all reported at move in and it took them several days to come check it out. All they managed to do was slam the windows down so they close at the bottom. The rooms are still freezing, because the seal between the panes are old and cracked. So the wind still comes in. The managed to lock the balcony door, but now it won’t open. It has been two weeks since they first came to access the situation and they still haven’t come back. And to add insult to injury they sent my husband an email asking him to rate the service call? I am paying for a “Luxury Villa.” And it is so far very unsafe and unlivable. My husband has called several times and left messages. The people in the office either can’t do anything about it or they don’t care. I am going to the Revdex.com. In addition to all the problems we reported, I discovered that the plastic shower pan is not sealed at the tile in the master bathroom. So mold is coming out of the area bit sealed. There has to be some legal obligation for Citation to provide a safe and warm place to live. STAY AWAY!!!!!
