Concours Body Shop Reviews (2)

Salem Collision did excellent work on my vehicle on two occasions In both incidents I got compliments from people I didn't know, and one offer person asked it I would be willing to sell it! On the first occasion my car was vandalized in a parking lot The damage was so extensive, the insurance claim representative said he had never seen so much damage done to a car by way of vandalism The car was 90% totaled, in body work
When the work was completed, it looked like it just rolled out of the showroom!
Everyone at Salem Collision was professional and very helpful and understanding
The work was obviously done by professionals who were meticulous and detailed about their work
I went back there again, and again the same outstanding work! I HIGHLY recommend Salem Collision

this business has not integrity whatsoever they deny everything about damaging parts in a vehicle claiming they video tape it after the fact no before and after video tape . so they video tape the vehicle after they assemble it so even if they damage the part. they claim that it was there before, then when you complain they want to see the damage they will give you a calling card telling you to bring it there but they wont tell you that you are responsible for it , even if they damage the vehicle part, they damage a lot of parts in my vehicle there is one incident that mark told me to bring my vehicle to this person since he seen the damage telling me that they will pay for it ,after 1 week the person call me back because gill grieve doesnt want to pay for it the company is color glow , they are the ones who send me there now the person is calling me because concours wont pay him and gave my phone number to this person he is in violation of privacy act so give me the number so I can complain this outfit.[redacted]Product_Or_Service: painted the whole carDesired Settlementpay the color glo what he was owe for the one least they damage on my car .Business Response This Customer (name is being omitted pursuant to Revdex.com requirements) brought in his 2006 Porsche [redacted] to Concours Body Shop to repair the sand damage to his vehicle sustained in a February 20, 2014 sand storm. This Customer reported the damage to his insurance carrier, [redacted], to pay for the damage. Upon dropping off the vehicle, The Customer delivered to Concours Body Shop a letter stating. (Please note, all grammatical errors have been intentionally included; this passage below is the exact statement in The Customer's letter to Concours Body Shop):"I Name Omitted authorized Concours Auto Body to restore my vehicle to its current condition with out sacrificing quality. After a sand storm accident including a 55 gallon plastic drum brought by the same storm hitting the left side bumper flew over hitting tip of rear right spoiler it allhappened in 395 south between [redacted] and [redacted].Feb 22, 2014 approximate time between 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. I also notified the lien holder of said vehicle in case we have to file a lawsuit if [redacted] tries to undermine the estimate which will result in a poor workmanship due to pressure from adjuster to work within their estimate resulting in butchering and short cuts in job not putting all fasteners, etc will lower the integrity of my 2006 [redacted]." [redacted], the Owner/President of Concours Body Shop discouraged This Customer, on three separate occasions, to allow Concours Body Shop to make these repairs to the vehicle as [redacted] knew this was a customer that would be challenging to please. On one of these occasions The Customer told [redacted] that he desired his vehicle to be repaired at [redacted] Auto Body. [redacted] agreed that The Customer should have his vehicle fixed where he wanted. However, [redacted] persuaded The Customer to have his vehicle fixed at Concours Body Shop because of the [redacted] warranty program. When The Customer dropped off his vehicle to Concours Body Shop he necessitated that no one physical drive his vehicle while it was in the shop. Unfortunately, it is necessary to drive the vehicle to different departments in order to complete a sand damage repair. [redacted] attempted to remedy The Customer's request by being the sole person allowed to drive the vehicle on the premises of Concours Body Shop. Following the completion of the sand damage repair, The Customer falsely accused Concours Body Shop, and its employees of stealing the interior lighter. Concours Body Shop reviewed the video taken (upon drop off of every vehicle) and told The Customer there was no interior lighter in the vehicle when he dropped it off. The Customer later called Concours Body Shop and explained that he had located the lighter, and that his son had previously removed it from the vehicle. Additionally, during the time Concours Body Shop was doing repairs to This Customer's Porsche, The Customer accused Concours Body Shop of gluing a front headlight on his wife's [redacted]. The Customer brought the headlight off his wife's car into the shop showing the front office staff the glue on the back of the light. It was explained to The Customer that Concours Body Shop does not use that brand of glue (the glue was blue, and Concours Body Shop does not use glue, we use a fuser product that is white or black). The Customer was very upset when he left on this occasion. Later in the day, This Customer called and spoke with [redacted], the customer service assistant, and stated that his wife informed him that a different body shop completed the repairs to his wife's vehicle and it was in fact, the other shop that put the glue on the headlight, it was not Concours Body Shop. To address This Customer's accusation that there are "no before and after video tapes," [redacted] and all Concours staff offered to show This Customer the video footage taken when the vehicle was originally dropped off, and each time, This Customer declined to look at it. Concours Body Shop saves each and every video taken and we would be happy to show This Customer the video at his request. Additionally, at the time the drop off, The Customer took his own video of his vehicle with his [redacted] before leaving the vehicle with the Concours Body Shop employee Mark, who witnessed this event as was the employee communicating with The Customer at this time. In addition, it is standard operating procedure at Concours Body Shop to take a digital video of the exterior and interior of each individual car on our premises. It is because there are false accusations, like This Customer's, that we have created this process in order to protect ourselves and to show the customer physical proof if needed. Concours Body Shop has hired one person solely dedicated to take these videos as it is necessary to ensuring customer communication and satisfaction. Concours Body Shop is committed to striving to make each customer satisfied as well as protect our integrity as an honest repair facility. Concours Body Shop is greatly offended and disappointed in the accusations being made. Concours Body Shop has attempted to remedy this situation with This Customer several times, and each time we have been unsuccessful at coming to an equitable solution. This Customer additionally accused Concours Body Shop of damaging some interior trim. Upon inspection by Concours, as well as consulting the video taken when the vehicle was dropped off, it was determined that the damage was there prior to the repair of this vehicle. Concours recommended that The Customer take his vehicle to [redacted] to get it repaired at his own cost. Concours never agreed, nor suggested that we would be responsible for the cost of this repair. To help facilitate this repair, Concours Body Shop contacted [redacted] and gave them This Customer's phone number so they would take care of him and fix his interior trim timely. This Customer took his vehicle to [redacted] on his own accord and had the interior trim repaired. Subsequently This Customer presented the [redacted] bill to Concours Body Shop and demanded that we pay him for the cost of repair. This is not the policy of Concours Body Shop. If Concours is responsible for any damage that requires sublet vendors services, Concours Body Shop issues a Repair Order to the sublet vendor and the bill is sent directly to Concours Body Shop. This further provides proof that This Customer is trying to falsely accuse us of this damage and unjustly demand payment for repairs not authorized by Concours Body Shop because we are not liable nor the cause of the interior damage. Finally, This Customer states that Concours Body Shop is in violation of the "Privacy Act" by providing [redacted] with his phone number. The Privacy Act of 1974 (Pub. L. 93-579) states that: "No agency shall disclose any record which is contained in a system of record by any means of communication to any person, or to another agency, except pursuant to a written request by, or with the prior written consent of, the individual to whom the record pertains..." However, the term "agency" is defined as any "executive department, military department, Government corporation, Government controlled corporation, or other establishment in the executive branch of the Government." Therefore, the Privacy Act of 1974 only applies to governmental agencies and does not apply to Concours Body Shop.
