I am rejecting this response because: On the last day of work, Mr*** *** advised that they would be finishing the polish process that day and asked that we inspect the floors prior to the sealer being applied. He stated that he hoped the sealer would hide the grinding marks that didn't polish out. Evaluation of the workmanship and condition of the floors by other floor polishing companies indicates that Mr*** and his employees did not progressively grind and polish the floors properly - thus, leaving the floors covered with grind marks. The floors are in such a condition that to fix them they would need to be reground from the beginning and repolished
Regards,

received the client complaint and appreciates the opportunity to respond. We would like to state that this floor was not a finished product. We were the second company to attempt to polish this client’s floor and thus knew that there would be issues during the polishing process, because of this we made multiple samples during the polishing process. When grind marks started appearing it was decided to do a finished sample over them to see if they would be present in the finished product, they were not apparent and it was decided to continue with the polishing process. Holes were patched with a material that contained a custom color dye mixed on site to help match the repairs to the finished floor. During the polishing process the color of the patch will start to match the floor and once a sealer is applied the color of the patch should be close to the rest of the floor. This floor was not finished, had a sealer been applied floor repairs would’ve been closer in shade. That being said, a patch is a repair and not the original material, colors are matched in a best efforts manner and multiple samples were made to get a material that is close the color of the finished surface. Wall corners were protected with builder’s papers and the rest of the walls were left unprotected as we had never had an issue with paint being scuffed or damaged. The builder’s paper did fall off multiple times and was eventually not replaced. Because this was an unfinished project we’re asking that our original agreement stands.
