Concrete Equipment Zone

I purchased a concrete pump from [redacted]r from this company because he advertised it in writing to me, as rebuilt and like new. When the pump arrived it was a huge disappointment. The only thing new on it was a coat if pain. It had various leaks and all of the parts were old and rusted. After complaining to him he had me drive it 3 hours to a mechanic of his choosing. The only thing he did was fix a couple leaks and that was all. The pump was still not in working order. I asked for a refund and he refused. I took it to a local equipment shop that works ith hese pumps and they said it needs at least $4,000 more worth of work on it and in the condition it is in, it is only half of the $30k he old it to me for. He told me to take it to work anyway and let him know how it pumped. I took it to pump concrete and the pump was so weak, it had no power, could not pump any concrete. The contractor was upset to say the least. It cost me more money in concrete and employee hours. I informed him of the situation and he refuses to issue me a refund and now does not answer my emails. I never signed any contract with him so I do not see why he cannot issue my refund.Desired SettlementI would like a full refund for the pump. We have paid for inspecting the pump and have fixed what we did see as a few leaks. The Customer requested we supply them with a Video of the Pump Working which we did and they have thanked us and picked up their pump this week.Its working as it should. We Sold the pump as is with no Warranty as stated on their Invoice. However as a Courtesy as a new Operator I wanted to do all we can to make sure they were Pleased. The Concrete business is not an easy business and it takes time to gain the Experience needed to succeed,I am Very Confident that in Time the Customer will get better and better . Thanks,[redacted]
