One again the small deposit that we received from [redacted], does not even cover the shipping and handling fees of the material that was ordered specifically for his project. That is not taking into account the 2 trips made to his house to discuss his project witch where time consuming and cost us money as well. We left messages saying that we where ready to start project and had no response until day he called saying he wanted to cancel. We still have the material that was ordered for his project , being it was ordered just for him, what we can offer to do is to go  ahead and complete the work just like we originally agreed on, we can deduct the deposit from original amount. Thank You

Spoke to [redacted] and made arrangements to stop by his house to take care of concern.thank you

deposit that I received from [redacted] does not even cover the shipping and handling fees for material and that is not taking into account the 2 special trips made to his house and time spent planning project. The Product that he wanted for his pool was epoxy river stone, I ordered the material a few thousand lbs. and the shipping fees exceeded the deposit received. The material ordered was a custom color just for his project therefore cant use somewhere else , it also has a shelf life. We lost time and money by scheduling his project and having put other projects off because his project was on our agenda.l

After several months Concrete Expressions finally returned my deposit for work that was not done.  It appears that the resolution was the result of my contacting the Revdex.com.  I am very pleased that their actions resulted in an acceptable conclusion.

Review: Had stamped concrete work done by concrete expressions in September 2014 and it has cracked in several places . I was only able to leave messages in Dec Jan for them to contact me ( nothing) . I contacted him at the home show in Poughkeepsie in March . Victor said he would do the work in April when temperature was warmer. Nothing again .

I have been very patient .Desired Settlement: Re-do work ..

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here] I had called Victor seven (7) different times and Victor a message to call me and Victor did not call back. Victor only called back when I left a message that I was canceling the job. Victor told me the job would begin in three weeks I waited four weeks before I called to find out when he would start the job. Once again no call backs until I said I was canceling the job. The service was terrible. I do not have a contract with Concrete Expressions and no work has begun therefor I am seeking a return of my deposit in the amount of seven hundred dollars ($700).

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

We had our dream backyard completed by Victor of Concrete Expressions… Our pool patio and walkways look like something you would see at a five star resort… The craftsmanship and expertise of the entire staff surpass any in the industry. They stand behind their work. If you are considering concrete, you need to utilize Victor of concrete expressions…. We highly recommend them!

Review: The following is a letter I sent to Concrete Expressions which accurately describes the situation that exists:

2 Charlotte Drive

LaGrangeville, NY 12540

** July 2015

Concrete Expressions [redacted]:

On April [redacted] of this year I gave you a check for three hundred dollars ($300.00) as a down payment for a job you said you would do in about 3 weeks. Six weeks went by and I had not heard from you at all. I then called you to discuss this matter. At that time you told me that you would be out in the next couple of days. You did not call me to say that you could not make it in that period of time and you did not show up.

A couple of days later I called you again and told you that I no longer wanted you to do the job for which you had given me the estimate. I also asked that you send me a check for the deposit I had put down.

I waited a week and did not receive the check. At that point I called and left a message, again asking you to return my good faith deposit. I also asked that you would give me a call if there were any questions. I did not hear from you nor did I receive a check from you. I waited another week and again tried to get in touch with you. All I get is your answering machine and again I left a message asking you to call me if you had any questions and requesting that my deposit be returned.

I do not understand why you have not returned my deposit or made any effort to contact me. The handout advertising your services states, "Free estimates". So I should not be charged for you giving me the estimate on the work to be done. Additionally, the handout also says, "[redacted]. This obviously did not happen.

I am sending you this letter with return receipt requested to formally notify you that I would expect to have my deposit returned within the next week. If I do not receive a check within that time I will pursue legal or other remedies.

Again, if you have any questions you can contact me at [redacted].

Yours truly, [redacted]

The letter was sent by certified mail with return receipt requested. Four weeks later the letter was returned to ma marked "unclaimed, return to sender".

I do hope that you are more successful in getting a reply than I have been.Desired Settlement: Refund of the three hundred dollars that I gave as a deposit to have the work done.
