I am rejecting this response because: Yes, we had some payment issues. I do not reject those. However, [redacted]' own brother stated that he never pays his employees or the day workers he hires. I overheard him speaking to one of these workers during this concrete pour. I would have never allowed him to pour the concrete if he was going to intentionally not finish it properly.  [redacted] got the monies he was asking of before anymore work was done. For him to now state that the work was $12,000 is a lie. I have his estimate of cost. I have spoken with other contractors that have followed behind [redacted]' work. They have in fact told me that "I" should not have had to pay for the equipment rental. That should have been at [redacted]' cost.  [redacted] stated that he lost finishers due to "US" not paying him in a timely fashion. Then "IF" he did not have finishers, why did he pour the concrete. He made us pay for the concrete. He knew he was going to intentionally screw the job up. I don't care that we did not pay him in a timely fashion what I care about is his quality of work. This contractor, [redacted] intentionally did a bad job so my wife and I would have to have it repaired. He is now trying to blame his unacceptable work on us. Despite my wife wanting the concrete poured, he should have delayed the pour. I told him this was my request on that day but this fell on deaf ears. [redacted] has done this through out the area. He has many people upset with him. In fact he has done this type of work to senior citizens as well. I believe he prays on people then walks off the job to leave them with extra costs and having to hire others to "FIX" his less than adequate work. [redacted] is a liar and a thief. He has an "F" rating with you guys. Do you really think that with a rating like that it is "ALL" our fault? Come on [redacted]!

I have already responded to her previous complaint.....same job. This customer told us that because our work...that she was no longer the "scrouge of the neighborhood.".... Her words. Unfortunately, her story has changed quite a bit since she has read negative things about me personally which...

occurred over 20 years ago. She has failed to mention the comments on a letter she had emailed to me personally. It's unfortunate that she has left out this information from her complaints.
Furthermore...she has leftout the fact that for next to nothing we have done alot of work clearing an over grow yard.....tree...shrubs throughout the side and rear of her very large yard. I also was going to cut out a section of her concrete and provide a grate for drainage for a patio slab addition and retaining wall that created a lack of drainage.....she stopped us from completing this work. I do not envy any one that goes in and continues the process with this lady.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: The information provided by the business owner is very misleading. Initially, the work looked very good but within a very short period of time (less than two weeks) the epoxy started to come off and the color of the stain on the driveway and patio was already fading. He did do some cleaning in my backyard but nothing close to what I had asked him to do in terms of cutting tree limbs. He told me that he was a landscaper and he could move dirt and change elevations to allow for drainage. He had no equipment of his own and used my lawn mower, clippers and chainsaw. Not too good for a professional landscaper. My decision to fire him was not based on what I read about him from 20 years ago. Initially, it was based on what I saw happening to the work he had done at my own home. Some water got on the garage floor and when I wiped it him my hands and the cloth were brown from the stain. This was shown to [redacted], his employee that came over to pick up what feew tools he had left at my home. [redacted] also saw the dried footprints made from them after they walked on the floor before it was dry. [redacted] told me that he was going to tell Mr. [redacted] what he had seen. He also told me that he just did "what he tells me to do. Ihave only worked for  him for 3 months". I have taken pictures of the paint on the garage wall, areas where the expoxy is gone and places where the stain is fading. Last but not least, no matter what sight you google for reviews they are all the same...terrible. Regards,[redacted]

I have been more than accommodating with [redacted]. We had an agreement in place that the customer completely and utterly failed to follow. At a loss to myself and my employees....the customer failed to make required payments per our agreement. The cost of demolition, rental of tractors,...

disposal fees were considerably more than the payments made on this job. I kept working in good faith....the customer kept delaying payments for 2 months.....when the 3rd payment was made to our company.....the check failed to clear and required me to pay all NSF charges caused by this bad check. This $4,000 was paid in 3 installments over a period of 6 weeks. What truly disappointed me was that several employees were expecting the payments according to our agreement.....unfortunately, I was not paid for labor throughout the progression of this project and I had to pay employees with moneys out of pocket. We were continually promised payments....only to find that there was another excuse waiting and more delays in payments. I spoke to Mr. [redacted] and he made it clear to me that he was not in charge of this project and that he was also aware that the $4,000 check was not in the account. My intentions were to complete the project in a timely manner.....however; my concrete finishers were not gonna eat and pay their bills on the multiple promises of payment. This concrete pour was delayed 3 times for lack of payment. In reference to the statement that I wouldn't delay the pour.....I was told by [redacted] that she didn't want to delay the work again. She was insistent that we pour. Our agreement was to do a tradeout for a second project in the backyard. My intention was to do this project and do a tradeout on the next project. The increase in the amount of work asked was supposed to be paid in cash....it will never happen. Total cost with additional work is at over $12,000. This customer has paid $7,300 and has made it clear that they will not pay any more money. The multiple delays were caused by Mr. & Mrs. [redacted]s lack to follow our agreement....which in turn led to refusal by concrete finishers to work on this project.I refuse to invest any more time and money with customers that will only leave me disappointed in their word to take care of any further fees and payments due.

Terrible work! I hired this company to do a 800 square foot path. The price they gave was double what is customary, I assumed these guys are good. Alex requested 1/2 money up front, I was reluctant but did because of the tight deadline I was on. They showed up and started forming and are clearly very inexperienced. They show up around 10 and work till 1 or 2. The forms were wavy and un uniform they never got them right. The concrete was finally poured and supposed to be stamped... 3 days late after my deadline they had no problem agreeing to meet. The concrete busted all over, the stamping looked terrible no good edges. I ask Alex what he wanted to do to fix it he said they could overlay it (on a brand new slab???). I completely busted it out and am starting over with a professional company. Alex will not call me back or return any of my deposit. We are now suing him personally and his company. I would discourage anyone from using this company. I am a contractor for many years and have never seen such crappy concrete work. This is the first bad review I have ever gave a contractor.

Review: I had a driveway, walkway, patio installed last July. Three months later, I noticed what looked like bits of color that come off several areas of driveway. I called and they came over to fix.I noticed the driveway was damaged in the Spring and called to have fixed. [redacted] came over same day and said it would be fixed at some time. In October, I called again and nothing has been done.Desired Settlement: I would like my driveway fixed but since winter is upon us and unsure if it can be done now, some time in Spring.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: I hired Concrete Impressions of [redacted] in October, 2013, to deliver and spread 5 truckloads of dirt in my backyard around the new patio they built. The fill was suggested to me by [redacted], because he thought the property looked "low". I did not initially hire him to sell me dirt, it was an add on to the patio job, and the dirt was brought up brought up by him. It was supposed to be "clean" dirt. When it was delivered it appeared to be ok. We have many oak trees in our yard, and the dirt was quickly covered by leaves. After the winter, when we removed the leaves and the dirt settled, it became apparent that what they had delivered was any thing but clean fill. It was dirt full of construction debris, such as large rocks, pieces of asphalt (blacktop), bricks, and other various pieces of foreign construction materials. When I called the company on May **, 2014, and spoke to [redacted] (one of [redacted]s), she told me the dirt should have been screened, and they would never deliver anything like I received. She said she would have [redacted] call me, which he did. [redacted] said, the reason I got such a "good price" was because it was dirt that needed to be raked. He said his workers removed 5 wheelbarrows of this debris when they delivered it. I did not see them do this. Even if they did, there still remains a huge amount of this debris to be removed. I did not order construction fill to be spread around my yard. They charged me $500 for this debris. If he did not sell it to me, he would have to pay to dump it somewhere, as it is not suitable dirt for a residence. If I had known what he was selling was construction debris, I would never have bought it. [redacted] offered no solution, other than he was willing to send someone over to pick up the debris my wife and myself had raked out so far. When I spoke to [redacted] on the phone the second time, she was not nearly as nice. She spoke over me and hung up. I did not say anything to her that would cause a normal business person to hang up on a customer.Desired Settlement: The company should correct the situation by removing all debris and spreading the dirt. If they can't do this, then I will need to be paid to hire someone who will do the work.
