Concrete Renovators of Central NY, Inc. Reviews (7)

Revdex.com spoke with the business who advised that this job was done fall of (labor day)Job was front steps and a skim coat over the back existing patioWe repaired the concrete we did not replaceWe told the consumers at time of installation that the patio needed to be replaced however they did
not wish to do so at that time We also installed saw cuts to help control crackingEarly spring of we received notice from consumer about the patio having cracks and asked me to come and look at the patio, I did go out and look at the patio which had cracked There is no warranty against cracking concrete, I was however willing to work with the consumer until their demeanor became less then professional, making demands of myself and company Therefore I explained to the consumer that the was no warranty and nothing further I would be assisting them with, they need a new patio

Work done approxAUG '14; repair of cracking done summer 2015; overlay completely redone summer 2016; complaint about sealing began within 1st week after repair, 2016; sent several emails along with pics of sealant issue with no reply; contact made with Russ after Home Show when he stated he
would come to discuss, but not contact after; sent email requesting contact again several weeks ago, again with no responseOnly warranty is statement in contract that I believe applies: "ALL WORK WILL BE COMPLETED IN A WORKMANLIKE MANNER ACCORDING TO STANDARD PRACTICE." Being sealant was not applied properly, I believe this clause applies

When [redacted] did the stairs and came back when I called him about the crack. He said that he would repair the crack if it got worse. And of  course he has not and apparently doesn't want to. Honestly I would like it fixed or get some sort of partial refund. I would like to post this some where to warn people about his poor work.

The company never advised us we needed a new patio. They were not willing to work with our schedule and mad it extremely difficult for it to be repaired. They knew the situation and chose to overlook it because it would not profit for them. They were the ones that specified everything that needed to be done and in which it is far worse than it was to begin with. In that case we would have left it. It was their poor workmanship and a repair is only fair to make it right.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  Owner (Russ) now wants to charge me for sealing when he said there would not be any charge if he saw sealant was not applied properly. I showed him via emails (that he continues to claim he never receives) that bubble cracked and left area without sealant. I also told him that there was similar issue where sealant had been apparently applied to heavy and cracked and now left blank area.  Not understanding why I would have to pay $300 (which he originally said was $200) for him to fix what his people did not necessarily apply correctly. I'm not trying to be difficult, and am willing to say I would pay $100 if they would come out and fix the problem, (which I shouldn't have to pay for anyway)...that's all I've wanted from the beginning!Regards,[redacted]

We resurfaced over stamped concrete that the consumer did not like. The following year we fixed a crack caused by the stamped concrete not being pinned properly. The color didn't match exactly so we resurface the entire job for uniform color. Sealed the job and everything looked good. He called that it had bubbled, I told him the sealer would melt back down. I last spoke to him around march of 2017 regarding a wash and reseal.  The weather has been too rainy, and not conducive for that work. he is still on my board, he just has to call to verify he still wants the work done, and it would be $300 for the wash and reseal. As far as the emails, I have not received any, but we have also had problems with our emails. He has to call.
