Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meHowever I don't see how you can have months of weather delaysAnd I just looked againYou stated the color would last years after we agreed to do the strip and colorI expect a full refund of the strip and color, including labor totaling $
Sincerely,
*** ***

In response to the complaint of "Shoddy Work".A few statements made by the customer are not correct. He says that he made it clear that he wanted the same color when finished. That is not true nor would I have ever agreed to that since anytime sand blasting is employed, the surface color will change...

slightly. Also, there is no way that I can know how the surface was poured originally. If the process of using a color/hardener was used when poured originally, then the sand blasting will remove at least a portion of the color. When the sand blasting was completed, the patio looked very uniform in color, although exactly what it was previously. I might add, that it was very difficult to see what the original color looked like because of the incompatible sealers that had been used previously, The look before we sand blasted was very cloudy and milky looking. When the customer states that we didn't wash the patio prior to sealing, he is completely incorrect. He complained that we should not have sealed on the same day that we washed, but the temperatures that day were such that the patio was completely dry prior to applying the  sealer coats. The blotchy look that the customer complained about after the sealer was applied was simply the result of color coming off when we sand blasted. It could not be detected until later. That is when I met with the customer and explained all of this and offered to remove the sealer with sand blasting, re-color and then re-seal. I offered to do the re-sealing at no charge but that he would need to pay for the sand blasting and re-color. He did not want to pay for sand blasting again so I told him that a liquid stripper might do the trick since it was fresh sealer. I told him that strippers are not as reliable as sand blasting in removing the sealers completely, but he opted for the stripper and re-coloring.With regard to the time to complete, there is a lot more to the story than the customer has suggested. There were delays from weather, delays from his response time and delays resulting from Concrete Repairs Denver's schedule.I did make a comment stating that the color should last for up to 10 years, but that was before he decided to employ the stripper rather than sand blasting. With regard to "making this right" given the current tenor of our relationship, I cannot do any further work for him, but I am willing to refund the customer his money for the stripper and re-coloring as a show of good faith. Also, I too, have the entire email string of our conversations. Unfortunately, the conversation relating to whether or not to sand blast a second time, was verbal and in person, so there is no record of it, making it a he said she said situation.
