I have had the pleasure to have Josie B. as my broker for the past 9 years. She is wonderful and always finds the best price for what I need. Recently my son was in a bad car accident and Josie contacted me right away with the insurance info I needed and it worked out great, within a week my son was driving a new car from the insurance money. I highly recommend Josie B. as your broker. Thanks Catherine

I would just like to share my personal experience with dealing with this company that I had automobile insurance through. I'm trying to prevent other to go through what I had to go through with dealing with this company and it's staff. I purchased a different car inbetweeen my policy but before I purchased it I called my broker ahead of time to see if my rates would change. I was assured they wouldn't be changed but then when I transferred my policy to other car it pretty much doubled my payments a month. When I called to enquire why I was not given an explanation. I even went in person to find out and my broker (Josie) *** couldn't give me an explanation why it went up even though she was the one that assured me my rates would be the same. Also I didn't have insurance for couple months after I sold my car and seeking to purchase different vehicle. I was told if I gave proof of my sale of car I would be credited the time I didn't have insurance. I did all that But was not given credit and not even given an explanation as to why by my broker (Once again Josie). Plus I had to ask her about it. She had no initiative and that's not the kind of broker I want. When I emailed head office I was given no response. I felt this company and it's staff were ***, and didn't address any of my concerns and just ignored me hoping I would go away while taking my money the whole time. ***. I only had auto insurance through them and they had trouble handling that. I could just imagine if I had other policies with them.

Mr L., originally contacted our office to cancel his auto insurance on September 13, 2017, explaining to his broker that he sold his vehicle on September 11th, 2017. At that time, the cancellation form was printed, however, Mr L. did not come in to the office to sign the paperwork and it was mailed out to him for signature. He later called back 3 or 4 days later to discuss his options and at this point his original broker had gone off on sick leave. I advised that when a policy is cancelled during the term, the company will charge a penalty and then when a new vehicle is purchased, a new policy would have to be written and a new downpayment would have to be collected again. I let him know that if he was going to replace the vehicle in a very short period of time, it would be better and cheaper for him to let the policy continue and make the change once he purchased his new vehicle. Over the next few weeks, a few different quotes were done on a few different vehicles as per the information provided by the insured and I advised him he should make a decision soon or he needs to cancel the original policy. By the time Mr L. finally settled on a vehicle and wanted it insured, it was October 31st, 2017. At that time, he also advised of an address change, which was never discussed previously. The change in vehicle and the address were made and unfortunately, resulted in an increase BUT the increase was only $30 per month. To compound the problem he only had 1 withdrawal left before the renewal so the insurance company withdrew all 3 months $90. The higher premium was not due to the vehicle but due to the change in location. His new address was never brought up while rates were being quoted, therefore, the rates did come in different than discussed. At this point, Mr L. also requested a rebate for the period he did not own a vehicle, however, now we were advised that the vehicle was actually sold on September 1st. As this would be a backdated request, I asked him to send in proof of the sale and I would forward it to the company for their consideration. This was done and the company denied any type of credit because it would have had to be processed as a cancellation and rewrite as previously discussed with him. It is unfortunate, that things did not go the way our insured had wanted but I assure you that all efforts were made on his behalf. The insurance company has the final decision, not the broker. The insured was advised accordingly. How my answers were interpreted, is beyond my control. I remained professional at all times and in some cases, held my tongue as to not get in an argument with the client. It truly saddens me that he feels he was mistreated because I can assure you that this was not my intention nor is it the norm for any broker at Condotta Merrett. We all take pride in our client service.
