I am rejecting this response because: The close date with Cameo Homes has always been July 13, 2017. We were not going to close on the original date until the repairs were complete. However, we trusted Cameo Homes and agreed to an addendum. It was Cameo Homes who offered the $1000 check and promised repair no later than July 27, 2017. I have attached the addendum. Our agent contacted us after July 27, 2017 and explained our options. We decided to not have the repairs done and receive the check. We did not want repairs being done while we were occupying the home. We had been waiting for over 2 weeks to fully move in and decided to not wait any longer. We had the utilities turned on no later than July 14, 2017. The comment by Cameo Homes that we did not move into the house until August 2, 2017 is incorrect. We began gradually moving into the home as early as July 22, 2017. I rented a U-Haul on that date. We were staying in the house by the weekend of July 29, 2017. The remainder of our household goods were not moved until August 2, 2017 by military transportation and it was only larger furniture we could not move our self. We had donated most of our furniture and household goods since we had bought new. We want Cameo Homes to honor the contract/addendum.

The buyers refused to let Cameo Homes repair the floors. On 8/1/2017, an email was sent to the buyers agent informing the buyers that vinyl plan was a special ordered material and could not be returned and Cameo Homes would give the buyers the flooring material and a check for $300, the cost for labor, to have it installed at a later date at their convenience.  Cameo Homes made every attempt to honor the contract amendment.  The flooring was backordered and then the manufacturer filed bankruptcy, further delaying the shipment, all things outside of our control.  We stand by our commitment to our homeowners.
