complainant a notice, by verified mail on December 1, 2016, that stated unless the balance of $was paid in full by January 17, 2017, the personal property in the leased space would be sold by public sale on March 16, at 1pm.Customer called us on December 23, acknowledging the letter and letting us know she planned on paying, but was not sure when she could payWe did express We would be willing to work with her, but she needed to stay in contact with usOn February 7, one of our collection specialists accepted a smaller payment amount of $with her promise to pay again on February 17, This payment on February 17th was never madeWe called the complainant on 2/17, 2/18, 2/21, 3/3, 3/8, and 3/along with emails sent on 2/and again on 3/to try to resolve the past due balanceThe complainant never returned our calls or emails.Due to no further contact from the complainant, the sale proceeded on March 16, at pm and the complainant's property was sold at public auction, The complainant's pro-rated final balance through March 16, was $The accepted bid on the unit at public sale was $The complainant was issued a Final Bill for $309.00.It is unfortunate that the complainant's personal property had to be sold at public saleWe gave the complainant plenty of opportunity to make payment arrangementsI have included copies of the letters that were sent to the complainantStorage Express complied with all requirements in accordance with state statute.Respectfully,
