Congressional Dental Care

Review: I had wisdom teeth removal at congressional dental care. the front desk manager told me that their specialist dentist takes my insurance that I would have gotten a good discounted price for this oral surgery. And she said that she would do and file all paper work to my insurance company. Then she made me pre-pay for the oral surgery. After I got my wisdom teeth removed, the manager changed the story by telling me that she can only give me the paper work and I have to mail and call my insurance for them to pay me the money back in check. I agreed, but then my insurance company told me that the dentist who did my oral surgery does not take my insurance. Therefore I had no discount at all and had to pay mostly full price for a kind of service that I could have gotten somewhere else for a cheaper price or even for free within my insurance policy. However, they denied for making such mistake by claiming the fact that they don't know about every person's insurance policy and saying that my case was unusual. Later I found out that the manager lied because she knew that the specialist dentist doesn't take insurance. She was taking advantage of me, a teenager client who has no awareness of insurance policy.Desired Settlement: I want a refund, because I don't believe that I should had pay for this service since it was not under the condition that we agreed on. I'm not happy to pay over $800 for the manager's dishonest behaviors for selling me the kind of service I would never buy if I only knew the dentist doesn't take my insurance.
