Conlan Press Reviews (3)

Dear [redacted] : This message is being sent via the Revdex.com and also directly to your email address We’ve reviewed all the email correspondence with you since your original purchase (which was done under the name “ [redacted] ”), and before we respond in specifics to your complaint, we’d just like to recap -- -- You ordered one item which was shipped to you at the time, and you pre-ordered another item which you are still waiting on (plus the free extra that comes with that item) -- Circumstances outside our control delayed the pre-ordered item and freebie -- You were kept regularly and accurately informed of our progress by newsletter and direct email -- Several times via the newsletter and direct email we made plain that you could have a refund instead of waiting any longer, but you always turned us down and said to keep the pre-order active -- Our last communication was when you emailed us in October We sent a reply but never heard any further If you have changed your mind and now wish a refund, we’re happy to give it to you(We always honor refund requests as quickly as possible.) We’re even happy to refund you with interest, though that figure might be smaller than you thinkAccording to our research, a savings account at a Chase Bank in Draper, UT offers only .01% interest annually, so even if we double that figure your original $purchase only generates cents in compound interest over years(As a Chase customer who gets the same low savings interest rate we happen to think it is absurd, so if you do wish a refund, we’ll round it up to $45.) Conlan Press is NOT a sham company and we are NOT ripping people offThe facts: Conlan Press has delivered over 350,specialty items to customers around the world since Delayed pre-order items (such as yours) constitute only .4% (4/10ths of one percent) of our total ordersWe have never stopped working on overcoming these delays and getting the pre-order items produced and to our customers, and, in fact, are in the process right now of collecting printer/manufacturing quotes for the TWO HEARTS book (the free item that we’ve been waiting on to complete your order) So if we’re NOT a rip-off, why does Googling our name get you the results that you find? SimpleIn Conlan Press was targeted for online attack by a very strange man named [redacted] ***For reasons of his own, in Mr [redacted] (who has an arrest record for criminal assault and theft) began falsely and anonymously attacking Conlan Press, first on RipoffReport.com and later by setting up a dedicated attack websiteWhen we found out about the attacks it took very little time to identify the culprit and in December we sued him for defamationThe things he has posted online are wildly and deliberately misrepresent the truthIt’s been a long road getting here, but we will finally have the jerk in front of a judge and jury this October(Of course, as [redacted] gets closer to being found liable for defamation, he has increased his attacks in an attempt to do as much damage as possible before he is shut down.) As for Mr [redacted] lawsuit, there is no truth to its allegations, which were caused by a combination of Mr***’s statements and ***’s declining healthIn summer it became clear to everyone working the Screening Tour, and to audiences, that [redacted] was having major memory problemsOut of concern for his condition and safety we immediately suspended the Tour until [redacted] could be properly diagnosed and a doctor could tell us what was and wasn’t safe for him to doUnfortunately, like many elderly people who are having memory/cognitive issues, [redacted] refused to face what was happening to him and immediately cut off everyone who was trying to help (including his own adult children)In that state he fell under the influence of people who have sought to take over his business and enrich themselves, but in fact have only done him enormous harmTo get what they wanted, these people used Mr***’s statements to convince [redacted] that we were stealing from him, and that his children were trying to get him committed There is no truth AT ALL in ***’s lawsuitSince it was filed we have presented over 200,pages of documents proving that its allegations are false, while ***’s lawyer has put up no documents at all to support her claimsMore than that, she is fighting to deliberately HIDE critical evidence and keep it out of the recordFor example, his lawsuit falsely claims that we kept him living in extreme poverty from through We immediately demanded the release of his bank statements, and for the last months his attorney has refused to let them be seen(She has good reason to be afraid of a jury examining those bank statements, since they show that instead of living in poverty [redacted] was routinely spending $80-100,a year.) Ironically, the last big delays in completing and shipping the pre-ordered items are the direct result of having to suspend the Screening Tour and deal with [redacted] lawsuitThose things caused HUGE new financial and logistical problemsBut despite them we have continued to persevere and ARE going to press If you wish a refund, just confirm either a good PayPal account or else your current mailing addressYou can always reorder when the items are shipping if you wishMeanwhile there are other things we can do to make up for your unpleasant customer experience, and we would be happy to do them after we’ve had a chance to speak with you and go over your optionsPlease call us at the number below, and of course I will try and reach you as well Sincerely, Connor C [redacted] Conlan Press 650-267-

Dear [redacted]:   This message is being sent via the Revdex.com and also directly to your email address.   We’ve reviewed all the email correspondence with you since your original purchase (which was done under the name “[redacted]”), and before we respond in specifics to your complaint, we’d just...

like to recap --   -- You ordered one item which was shipped to you at the time, and you pre-ordered another item which you are still waiting on (plus the free extra that comes with that item).   -- Circumstances outside our control delayed the pre-ordered item and freebie.   -- You were kept regularly and accurately informed of our progress by newsletter and direct email.   -- Several times via the newsletter and direct email we made plain that you could have a refund instead of waiting any longer, but you always turned us down and said to keep the pre-order active.   -- Our last communication was when you emailed us in October 2014. We sent a reply but never heard any further.   If you have changed your mind and now wish a refund, we’re happy to give it to you. (We always honor refund requests as quickly as possible.) We’re even happy to refund you with interest, though that figure might be smaller than you think. According to our research, a savings account at a Chase Bank in Draper, UT offers only .01% interest annually, so even if we double that figure your original $40 purchase only generates 8 cents in compound interest over 10 years. (As a Chase customer who gets the same low savings interest rate we happen to think it is absurd, so if you do wish a refund, we’ll round it up to $45.)   Conlan Press is NOT a sham company and we are NOT ripping people off. The facts: Conlan Press has delivered over 350,000 specialty items to customers around the world since 2005. Delayed pre-order items (such as yours) constitute only .4% (4/10ths of one percent) of our total orders. We have never stopped working on overcoming these delays and getting the pre-order items produced and to our customers, and, in fact, are in the process right now of collecting printer/manufacturing quotes for the TWO HEARTS book (the free item that we’ve been waiting on to complete your order).   So if we’re NOT a rip-off, why does Googling our name get you the results that you find? Simple. In 2014 Conlan Press was targeted for online attack by a very strange man named [redacted]. For reasons of his own, in 2014 Mr. [redacted] (who has an arrest record for criminal assault and theft) began falsely and anonymously attacking Conlan Press, first on RipoffReport.com and later by setting up a dedicated attack website. When we found out about the attacks it took very little time to identify the culprit and in December 2014 we sued him for defamation. The things he has posted online are wildly false and deliberately misrepresent the truth. It’s been a long road getting here, but we will finally have the jerk in front of a judge and jury this October. (Of course, as [redacted] gets closer to being found liable for defamation, he has increased his false attacks in an attempt to do as much damage as possible before he is shut down.)   As for Mr. [redacted] lawsuit, there is no truth to its allegations, which were caused by a combination of Mr. [redacted]’s false statements and [redacted]’s declining health. In summer 2015 it became clear to everyone working the Screening Tour, and to audiences, that [redacted] was having major memory problems. Out of concern for his condition and safety we immediately suspended the Tour until [redacted] could be properly diagnosed and a doctor could tell us what was and wasn’t safe for him to do. Unfortunately, like many elderly people who are having memory/cognitive issues, [redacted] refused to face what was happening to him and immediately cut off everyone who was trying to help (including his own adult children). In that state he fell under the influence of people who have sought to take over his business and enrich themselves, but in fact have only done him enormous harm. To get what they wanted, these people used Mr. [redacted]’s false statements to convince [redacted] that we were stealing from him, and that his children were trying to get him committed.   There is no truth AT ALL in [redacted]’s lawsuit. Since it was filed we have presented over 200,000 pages of documents proving that its allegations are false, while [redacted]’s lawyer has put up no documents at all to support her claims. More than that, she is fighting to deliberately HIDE critical evidence and keep it out of the record. For example, his lawsuit falsely claims that we kept him living in extreme poverty from 2005 through 2015. We immediately demanded the release of his bank statements, and for the last 20 months his attorney has refused to let them be seen. (She has good reason to be afraid of a jury examining those bank statements, since they show that instead of living in poverty [redacted] was routinely spending $80-100,000 a year.)   Ironically, the last big delays in completing and shipping the pre-ordered items are the direct result of having to suspend the Screening Tour and deal with [redacted] false lawsuit. Those things caused HUGE new financial and logistical problems. But despite them we have continued to persevere and ARE going to press.   If you wish a refund, just confirm either a good PayPal account or else your current mailing address. You can always reorder when the items are shipping if you wish. Meanwhile there are other things we can do to make up for your unpleasant customer experience, and we would be happy to do them after we’ve had a chance to speak with you and go over your options. Please call us at the number below, and of course I will try and reach you as well.   Sincerely,   Connor C[redacted] Conlan Press 650-267-9651
