Connec has very poor business skills and customer service. I question whether or not they should have a business license.
They installed a home theater system with remote access. The system was installed while the house was being built. The system is now 2 years old as it was new when I bought the house.
After exactly 2 years, the HDMI cable that runs behind the TV through the wall, "goes bad" and can't be replaced without tearing the walls down.Connec first charges us to check all our equipment, declaring our receiver is bad. (This receiver was bought new from Connec as they told me my current receiver wasn't new enough.) After charging to test it, and updating the receiver, there is still no picture on the TV. Then Connec tell me it is my TV that is bad and I need a new one. After trying a new TV on the wall system, there still is no picture. Connec continues to charge me and never takes any ownership of the problems we are having. They were paid for the hours of service (2 full hours) despite the wrong diagnosis.
A new tech guy was sought and he diagnosed the problem in 15 minutes. He also showed us how Connec should have tested the cables to diagnose the problem quickly. The HDMI cable is bad and needs to be replaced or a cat 5 transmitter needs to be installed.
We then contacted Connec to install the new cat 5 cable transmitter, not knowing the charge would be almost $700.00. The bill was received and then we looked online to see prices for this piece of equipment and sent a payment $300.00 which should have easily covered the cost.
Connec never handled the situation professionally. They have very poor customer relations and their expertise in home theater/sound systems is highly questionable. Do they really know what they are doing?

I contracted with Connec-Inc. recently to upgrade my AV sound system since I had recently purchased a new 55" [redacted] TV and wanted to get the most out of it. The [redacted] store that sold me the TV also installed it above my fireplace, but did not do any in-wall wiring -- they just left the wires hanging off my mantle. Connec-Inc. came in and did a superior job of concealing all wires in the wall and moving all of my media components into a closet out of sight. This allowed me to remove the large 1990's entertainment center that was taking up too much room, and it opened up my living space greatly. They also upgraded my AV received from an older model [redacted] to a brand new [redacted] AV receiver, and the quality of sound for both music and surround sound TV is incredible. They even through in a stand to hold all the components in my closet. They also upgraded my home network, installing an [redacted], significantly increasing the wireless range and capability of my home network. They installed Ethernet ports as well for hardwired options, including my upstairs office. Their installers were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They even helped me to move the large entertainment center out of the family room into another room. They cleaned up after the job and answered all of my questions. A few days later, the owner of the company came by to see how everything was and to make some programming adjustments to my new RF remote that operates everything in the system. I'm so very pleased with the work Connec-Inc. did and would highly recommend them to anyone considering a home theater, whole house audio, security system or even home automation (smart home). This is a great company and you will be very satisfied with whatever job they do for you.
