First, let me say, to [redacted] and his team that we at Connect Computer understand the pain they went through and we truly empathize with them. However, the problem with the corruption and subsequent loss of data was not caused by any fault or wrong doing on...

the part of Connect, it was caused by a faulty device. The device caused the corruption of data, not Connect. We have 60+ of these devices out at client sites and we have never had an issue like this. It was a very unfortunate situation, but Connect spent 40+ hours, trying multiple avenues of recovery, that we did not charge [redacted] for at all, because while it was not Connect’s fault, it certainly wasn’t [redacted]’s fault either. Connect Computer has been around for 29 years, we always stand behind the products we sell, which is easy when they work, but when the products don’t work (as happens with technology from time to time) we go above and beyond to try to make things right. Unfortunately, in this situation, we were not able to have a positive resolution for [redacted] and we deeply apologize for that, but in no way is Connect to blame for that unfortunate situation. As for the issue of overcharging, etc., as I stated, we have been in business 29 years and we have lasted that long because we are a company of the highest moral integrity with many clients that have been with us for well over 10 years. We have excellent references and a long successful history. [redacted] chose our least expensive, and therefor least comprehensive plan (which client’s choose so infrequently we have stopped offering it) for their network support and within that context we provided A+ service as we always do.

Review: Connect incorrectly networked computer back up device Our computer system was infected with a virus that we believe corrupted documents. Since the backup device was not properly configured by Connect all files that were stored on the back up were also corrupted Connect repeatedly overcharged for service calls that were not solved by tech support as promisedConnect was not forthright in their service policy in that they offered the 1st 15 minutes as covered under our service contract but 90% of our service calls were billed for 30 minutes to 1 hourDesired Settlement: We request that connect compensate us for 20 hours of lost work that resulted from word and excel documents that needed to be recreated by our staffIF they had correctly configured our back up device the files would have been stored and saved on the cloud correctlyInstead Connect failed to established a cloud storage process and any files stored on the device were overwritten
