Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:When I brought the truck for original repairs. In July he had to truck for over 2 weeks and my business could not function. he gave me back the truck the first time , I paid him in full, then it broke down within an hour. he then brought the truck to [redacted] and they claimed it was not fixed properly. after supposedly fixing the truck the second time, I put a hold payment with my credit card company  to ensure the truck would last longer than a month. But after I realized my truck was functioning I removed the hold and mr r[redacted] received his full payment back that day!  also after getting my truck back it had 5 holes drilled in the tires which occurred while the truck was with Connecticut automatic transmission the second time.  when the truck broke down on april 5th 2016 I brought the truck to the nearest automotive shop near my home in trumbull to see if in fact the transmission was blown. at that point I was told I had a transmission in the truck that didn't even belong on that vehicle it was not even a ** transmission, upon the findings that a faulty transmission was put in my truck and I was lied to when I was told a gm transmission was put in by mr r[redacted], also with him reprograming my truck to accept the faulty transmission, along with holes drilled in my tires, I did not have confidence that mr r[redacted] would treat me or my truck properly seeing as he did not do what he was supposed to the firs TWO times he had my truck. I also have  a 2 year old daughter that I will not put her in a truck that doesn't run or could have been altered with in any way. I also I own a business that I need my truck to run, [redacted]'s ensured I would have the truck in my possession with the proper transmission the truck in 2 days Brian had it 14 days. i also have documentation from [redacted] stating that the transmission put in my truck from ct automatic transmission was not a gm transmission and a transmission that should have never been put in my truck.  All I want is the money I paid Connecticut automatic transmission for the first fix returned to me.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The warranty states all parts and labor at this shop only.  Nowhere on the document does the word limited or for that matter there were not any stipulations added to the warranty. The [redacted] was towed to CT Automatic Transmission on January 7, 2016. After over three weeks on Tuesday January  26 we had to physically go to the shop to get an answer about the transmission problem as phone calls did not get any response.   That is when we found out that he would not repair the car under the warranty.  On January 26th  we were quoted $2400.00 to fix it.  He only lowered the price after I contacted an attorney. We then went back and forth. Meanwhile I have been without a vehicle.  As soon as I found out that he refused my offer of the $1000.00  I attempted to have my car towed from Ct Automatic Transmission. When the tow truck arrived he refused to release my car because he wanted storage fees. At no time were storage fees ever discussed with me or any of my representatives until the final discussion  that he would not fix the car. The only reason he dropped storage fees is because I contacted DMV. DMV  told him to release the vehicle,. DMV said that they do not handle warranty issues and to contact Revdex.com ( which I already had done). I think it is appalling that someone can  go back on their written contract and the only recourse a consumer has is to pay more money . When I first brought  my car to Ct Automatic Transmission in April of 2015 I was offered a used Transmission for $3200.00 with a three month warranty or the rebuilt for $3500.00 (Both figurers were without tax) with a one year warranty. I spent the extra money to have the one year warranty, for all the good it did me. I had also asked what caused the transmission was to fail in the first place and they said they did not know. Funny how he knew this time. If the warranty was only good for his work. I believe it should have been stated that way in writing.  When I paid him there was no verbal warning that it was a limited  warranty.  The car was towed again on March 16th and the transmission was in pieces in the truck of the car.  That was not the way it was towed to CT Automatic Transmission. At no time prior to January 7th did I have a problem with my radiator.  I do not know if he did something to my car in order to get out of fixing it. Since my first complaint to Revdex.com I have had to have the car towed to [redacted] to have the transmission and radiator replaced. Where I am getting a 6 month warranty. I must again pay to have my car repaired. I would like to alter my response as to how I would like this resolved; since Ct Automatic Transmission refused to honor the warranty. I would like CT Automatic Transmission to pay all my labor and parts at the alternative repair shop.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

We do not understand why [redacted] did not contact us to have his truck repaired free of charge under the existing warranty. I visited [redacted] on 4/11/2016, but the truck was already gone. We can only speculate that [redacted] was embarrassed for stopping our credit card payment.  ...
