Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I did provide proper paperwork with proof. . I also stated to the company that I moved in with my sister and that I provided proof address change through personal mail and on my bank statement.
I was threated by the collection agency [redacted] and was mistreated. I was told they will ruin my credit and would put the  companies name on the reason why. I did pay a reduced rate because I was fearful that my credit would be ruined for something I did not do wrong. As I have worked very hard to keep my credit at its rate it is.
I feel as though this was wrongly handled.
Sincerely,
[redacted] Dillon

We have records indicating that this client did not in-fact send documentation that she moved.  She only sent a request to cancel...

and stated that she had moved.  When we spoke with her we explained that she would need to provide PROOF that she moved in the way in the form of a new drivers license or a utility bill in her name.  Additionally, she was asked to repay the value of any goods or services she received upon enrollment (according to state statutes). We regret that she is upset, but she did not follow protocol. We never received documentation of a move or reimbursement for the 1st month of her program or gloves (both of which were given to her upon enrollment) We cancel many, many contracts every year without incident. However, in this case, the client did not take the required steps to cancel. Thank You, [redacted]

Review: I canceled my contract early with the proper steps asked for on contract and was denied. I provided that I moved more than 25 miles from the facility and provided change of address. I sent information to CT Martial Arts certified mail and they signed it. I have all the proper documents and provided what was necessary within the amount of time. They then sent me to collections for not following proper steps in their eyes. I feel my information was not taken seriously. I was unable to attend classes anymore due to moving away. I have been penalized for following the proper steps. I am very upset that they would send me to collections and have me contacted after fulfilling my duties. I have been on contact with the collection agency and the worker seemed to not follow through on the steps he said he would take. I am very upset they attached to my credit that I have worked so hard on to get where I am today with it.Desired Settlement: I would like to not have to pay the amount that I should not be charged for handing in the proper paperwork. I also do not want any attachment to my credit report. I have completed everything on my end and I feel I have been wrongly accused by the facility.

Response:

The client did not provide a new drivers license or a utility bill as requested. We only received a return address on an envelope as proof. Notes on her account made at the time of the request confirm that we never received any of the required documents.
