Mr. [redacted] purchased his 2014 [redacted] motorcycle on September 9, 2014. The model he purchased had a MSRP of $9790 + factory freight of $339. He paid $8361 + 339 or $1429 below MSRP. Both the Retail Order and the Bill of Sale that he signed accurately reflect the amount he paid.

[redacted] called yesterday expressing his concerns and I assured him that he received the best price available at the time. He did state that he remembered seeing a $2200 discount tag at the time he purchased his bike.  This would have been impossible as a $2200 discount at that time would have resulted in a selling price way below dealer net cost.  It is also interesting to note that our current advertised discount is $2290, which includes additional manufacturer discounts that were not available last September.
I can only speculate that Mr. [redacted] recently became aware of the current discount and assumed that the same discount would have been available last September and that is why he is complaining now.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I met with Mr. [redacted] and we discussed my compliant. The evidence he presented to me to support his position was not sufficient to negate what I alleged, which is the actual posting on the motorcycle at the time of my purchase that indicated discounts in the amount of approximately $2,200. I acknowledge to Mr. [redacted] that I have been trying to obtain evidence of what I witnessed and have not as yet been able to do so. I have searched the internet for postings of the sale of the motorcycle in question dated during the time of my purchase and have been unsuccessful.
I am 100% confident of what I witnessed and I believe that if I had the resources I would be able to obtain corroboration. I would think that the employees of Connecticut Power and Sport would be reluctant to testify on my behalf given the position such testimony would but them in with their employer.
I stated to Mr. [redacted] that if I am not able to sufficiently evident what I allege I would be willing to withdraw my complaint. However, there is nothing that can be said to me or shown to me that will cause me to accept that I did not witness what I stated I witnessed. My problem is proving it. I do not have subpoena power to force testimony or the technical ability to search through computers and the internet to find Connecticut Power and Sport postings of the motorcycle during September 2014, which I am sure would corroborate what I allege.
Therefore, until I have had sufficient time, or, if Revdex.com has the wherewithal to investigate this matter and elects to do so, I am not excepting the response of Mr. [redacted].
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Review: Gift Certificate Fraud

I won a $300 Gift Certificate from [redacted]. When I presented it to the manager they said they would not honor it. They said it is only good for service on their motorcycles. The gift certificate is clearly marked "Retail". They said that the company that held the auction that I won the Gift Certificate at is responsible. This Gift Certificate was a donation that they are not making good on.Desired Settlement: I want my $300 gift certificate honored.

This is one of those rare circumstances where I am happy that a customer complained. When the customer was in our store we failed to get his name and contact information and we were therefore unable to follow up with him about his coupon.

First let me say that we will absolutely honor his coupon. His coupon is for a motorcycle or ATV full service, which has a $300 retail value. This is clearly explained on the [redacted] radio station website where the coupons are advertised and distributed. It is also explained in a letter that accompanies each coupon when it is issued.

In the customer's defense, he received the coupon from his son. His son received the coupon from The [redacted] restaurant and the [redacted] received it from [redacted]. Somewhere along the line the letter was lost and obviously the customer was not aware that it was for a motorcycle service. When he tried to use it to purchase merchandise we explained what it was for and he was naturally disappointed and blamed us for the apparent misrepresentation.

We tried to explain to him that we had nothing to do with the creation or distribution of the coupons and that his issue is with the [redacted] or [redacted], not us. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we were unable to convince him, hence his complaint.

[redacted] has admitted full responsibility for not listing the exact nature of the coupon on the coupon itself, which would have eliminated the confusion.

We have contacted [redacted] on the customer's behalf and have given them his contact information. They intend to contact the customer and will attempt to correct their error.

Hopefully, once [redacted] contacts him, the customer will withdraw his complaint.

Sincerely,

Review: When I purchased a motorcycle from the business in question, I stated that, for the particular motorcycle I selected to purchase, I would not want to pay more than $9,000 total, which was to include all related charges, sales tax, fees, et cetera. The sales person stated that he could do that. The price of the motorcycle, as posted on the motorcycle itself, was confusing. It had a posting indicating the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $9,750, and a separate posting of what appeared to be incentives amounting to over $2,200 (I do not recall the specific amount). Based on the postings on the motorcycle the sales price should have been approximately $7,550. According to the retail purchase order I received the sales price is listed at $8,700.

I contend that the salesman did not sell me the motorcycle at the posted sales price, but rather sold it to me at the price he thought I would be willing to pay, which I did pay. Though I was confused at the time of the purchase about whether the MSRP already included the incentive reductions, I should not have been charged an amount for the purchase of the motorcycle that exceeded the business' posted price. I believe I paid approximately $1,000 more for my purchase than what the seller was asking for the product. I am requesting a refund of the amount I was overcharged. I paid cash for the purchase of this end of the season 2014 [redacted] motorcycle.Desired Settlement: I would like the return of all funds charged, and paid by me, that exceeded the price of the motorcycle that the business advertised as the sales price.
