told him and the agreement he signed stated that he would have to reconcile the
difference in what he uses to what he pays in August. He agreed and signed the agreement. We did call him to notify him due to
unusually cold weather that he like everyone else in the state is using more
propane and that his bill is rising. We
told him he should increase his budget payment to meet his propane demand and
his August reconciliation amount would not be so high. He could not understand that if we delivered
less propane he would have run out freezing his pipes and giving him no heat

hose so he would not run out of propane

he will have a balance of $
We have been nothing but kind to this customer going over

and his house was not damaged. We
charged him nothing for this service and even carried a higher balance to help
him out. This customer has been a credit
issue and is obviously looking for a way not to pay his billWe hope he keeps
to his agreement and when August comes we can talk about his balance. We work with every customer who works with
us. We have much more liberal credit
terms and work with people more than any other company in the state

There are a lot of propane suppliers saying they provide the best service at competitive prices but CP&P is the real deal. They don't give you the run around when asking for current pricing and they are quick to deliver. If you've dealt with propane suppliers very long, CP&P is a welcome change. The family owned persona definitely comes through when you're dealing with them on the phone. You're not just an account number. Here's hoping they remain family owned for many years to come. They're a dying breed in today's market.

Review: I am on a budget plan with this company due to financial constraints. I pay $160/month. I was on will call but had myself put on automatic deliverythis winter thinking hey knew what I was paying and they would deliver accordingly. Average delivery has been over $300/month. There have been 5 deliveries since December. That is actually more than 1 a month. During the heavy snow they called to say please make sure there is a clear path to the tanks or they won't deliver. I purposely did not clear a path and they delivered anyway, twice. I received a notice in the mail dated 3/3/2015 stating the might need to increase my budget. I called to ask why they had not adjusted the delivery amount and the woman went off on me. She told me how they were doing me a favor by putting me on the budget and that on automatic delivery they could not just put in anything less than a fill-up. But she also said that if I wanted to be on will call again then I could have any amount delivered. I don't understand that. The second issue I have with them is that they charge interest by the invoice, instead of on a monthly balance due. And they charge the interest on the full amount of the invoices until they receive enough payment to satisfy the invoice. For example, in Dec. a delivery invoice was $524.80 and my payment was $160 which leaves a balance of $364.80. I pay interest on the $524.80. Then in January, they deliver twice. and I make 1 payment. So now I'm still paying interest on the full $524.80 plus the full amount of the next 2 invoices. That does not seem right.Desired Settlement: I want the business practices of this company reviewed and compensation if the practices have cost me extra.

I will respond to this complaint one item at a time. I will also attach notes to all conversations

we had with this customer. Starting with the $160 a month payment. We sent an agreement out to [redacted] with

a $175 payment. He changed it to $160

and said he could not afford $175. We

told him and the agreement he signed stated that he would have to reconcile the

difference in what he uses to what he pays in August. He agreed and signed the agreement. We did call him to notify him due to

unusually cold weather that he like everyone else in the state is using more

propane and that his bill is rising. We

told him he should increase his budget payment to meet his propane demand and

his August reconciliation amount would not be so high. He could not understand that if we delivered

less propane he would have run out freezing his pipes and giving him no heat.

We make our deliveries to a degree day formula so the colder

it gets the more deliveries you get and the warmer it gets the less deliveries

you get. This customer ran out of

propane and called us angry because he thought the budget plan put him on

automatic deliveries. We explained that

that was not true and he asked to be on automatic delivery 12/10/14.

We called him to ask for a clear path to the tank so we

could deliver. At that point he could

have told us not to deliver instead of having us send a truck to his house to

find no path was cleared. His tanks were

low on propane so we had a driver up to his waist in snow pulling a propane

hose so he would not run out of propane.

This customer has never been charged interest on the money

he owes us.

His total balance on his account is $1358.03. If he keeps making his payment until August

he will have a balance of $558.03.

We have been nothing but kind to this customer going over

and above what any gas company would have done to make sure this man was warm

and his house was not damaged. We

charged him nothing for this service and even carried a higher balance to help

him out. This customer has been a credit

issue and is obviously looking for a way not to pay his bill. We hope he keeps

to his agreement and when August comes we can talk about his balance. We work with every customer who works with

us. We have much more liberal credit

terms and work with people more than any other company in the state.

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to

call or e-mail me at any time.
