Review: I bought a brand new 2015 chevy spark from this dealer three months ago, in mid November I have had numerous problems since I bought the car. about 2 weeks ago the car would not go more than 30 mph on the street. I took it in to the dealer to get it fixed. Demanded for them to take the car back because I have too many problems for being a brand new car. They said that there is nothing wrong with the car after they held on to the car for 3 days. Yet I got a letter in the mail that says that the car may have a transmission problem. but that they will fix the issue until 2018. They are liars sold me a defective new vehicle that they wont take back. Liars, Liars, terrible business, totally taking advantage of me and my intelligence.Desired Settlement: I want them to take back their defective vehicle, do not want any more stress, do not trust the dealership since they have obviously have lied to my face, They cannot discuss the car issues to my face. Tell me to my face that the car has no problems but write letters to me telling me otherwise. I want a refund, need them to take back their car so I can buy another car elsewhere.

Horrible service from [redacted] the service advisor and [redacted] the service manager. I had a 445pm appt set for this afternoon, arrived to the dealership on time, and [redacted] acted like he knew nothing of our phone conversation the day prior when I made the appt with him by phone, and declined to take my vehicle in for an oil change. Just the day prior when we were speaking by phone, he said the oil change/tire rotation would take about 1 hr 15 min or so and so I needed to come on time. I was there at 440pm for my 445pm appt and was still turned away stating there were too many cars ahead of me. what does that have to do with the fact that you made an actual appt for me? The service manager came out at my request, not once apologized, turned me away and said to come back monday for a complimentary service, I declined this as it was a matter of principal. Will not be back here again, they can kiss my business goodbye.

Review: I have had nothing but serious issues with Connell Chevrolet. Their customer service is so horrible & unprofessional that I was driven to write this review. I purchased a barely used (9,000 miles) car from them (which I paid cash for) & promptly had to have all 5 pistons replaced which let to all the awful interactions with members of the service department. I'd like to note that I made a choice to buy my car from Connell over the other two local Chevy dealerships because it was located across the street from my house & I wanted to support a local, seemingly trustworthy business-what a mistake that turned out to be. The main service manager, [redacted], & another one of their longtime employees, [redacted], are the people I've had the most trouble with (I saw on Yelp reviews that others have also had bad experiences with these two). Since I've had my lemon of a car serviced under their supervision: I've had items stolen out of my car, oily fingerprints appear on my white clean ceiling from the mechanic and been told by another dealership that they had to fix loose parts & screws in my engine compartment because Connell neglected to properly repair my car and therefore placed me in danger every time I drove. They also said they fixed an issue with the oil filter, only to let me drive off the lot with my car still leaking oil. As a female, I've also had them try to charge me more than the actual service cost until I said something which resulted in them lowering the price. The two aforementioned service employees must've grown tired of having to deal with me bringing my car in all the time but they should've remembered the customer is always right (especially when my car isn't ever truly fixed by them & has recurring problems) because they obviously were not mature enough to be an adult and deal with the situation. I'm so fed up with their inadequate work & unprofessional, rude, degrading attitude towards paying customers that I decided they needed a wake up call from the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I'd like the corporate offices of Chevrolet to first & foremost address the horrible customer service at Connell & have the offending employees fired or relocated immediately so that I can actually take my car to the dealership I bought it from to have it worked on properly (the mechanics probably need more training or retraining too) and not have to be treated in a rude or sexist manner. Secondly, I'd like a replacement car (not from Connell) since the one I currently have is clearly a lemon.

Dear S [redacted]:

In response to a recent complaint letter we received from your agency. The customer [redacted], recently came into Connell Chevrolet to have a brake squeak checked out.

The Service Advisor, [redacted] wrote the car up.The transaction was written at 8:31 AM, 01/21/2014 The diagnostic fee which Ms. [redacted] authorized was for $50.00. The customer was advised that the car would need to be left for the balance of the day.At 1:00 PM Ms. [redacted]s boy friend called to inquire about the progress and was told by the Consultant that he had talked to the Technician after the road test and it was probably brake dust which had built up in the brake drums. He was also told we would need to pull the drums off to verify the concern.

At that time, the boy friend became extremely ajatated and demanded a rental car and that he would come to the Dealership shortly. Upon arrival of the boy friend and Ms. [redacted] Their abusive behavior left me no choice but to ask them to take their car and leave the premises. During the display of screaming and yelling we finished cleaning and adjusting the rear brakes which were full of brake dust. We absorbed the charges to keep the disruption to a minimum.

During a prior visit which took place on 2/19/13 involving a transmission repair. The couple demonstrated the same behavior. After extreme verbal abuse, accusations of theft and demands for compensation, all concerns were addressed in a tolerant professional manor. Numerous threats were made with reference to Ms. [redacted] attorney. After the couple were advised that they would not be welcome back to the dealership the attorney called me months later inquiring as to why his daughter could no longer bring her car in for service. After explaining what took place, his reaction was one of total embarrassment and apologies. We came to an agreement that his daughter, without the acompaniement of her boy friend, would be welcome back. The discussion with father and daughter must have been forgotten.

Connell Chevrolet is a family owned business. We take great pride in providing the best customer care possible. This is an unfortunate situation to say the least for both parties involved. I hope that this detailed review has helped reinforce our good standing with the Revdex.com. If you have any further questions on this matter please feel free to contact me personally.

Respectfully,

Service Manager
