Review: I planned to get Invisalign for correction of my teeth for both aesthetic and functional reasons. I saw him for the first appointment and discussed exactly what I thought was the problem, what I hoped he could do with the invisalign, and exactly what my goals for this are. He agreed with me fully, said we would be able to fix these problems, and to come back for some moldings to send to Invisalign and to pay $2500. (The entire package is sold as all inclusive for $4500)The next appointment is when things went awry. He took my moldings, and my money plus an extra $50 for the appointment, and told me that actually he didn't think that what I wanted to get out of this was doable. Rather, only a small portion of what I wanted done could be done, but it would still cost the full $4500. I went home and thought about this.I have friends that have gone to different dentists/orthodontists and the moldings are free. Then the dentist sends the moldings to Invisalign and then they send the dentist models of what outcomes will be like. If the patient doesn't like it, then they don't pay a dime. I realized that there had either been a major miscommunication between my dentist and I, or this was a bait and switch. So, I called his office the very next morning to get a refund and I left a message. He called me back and spoke to me in the most disrespectful and unprofessional manner. Condescending and self-righteous, he told me how annoying I was and that this was so inconvenient to him.After this, he then offered to do the things he originally said could be done if I would just pay him more money. I refused and stated I wanted a full refund. He refused, and stated that he was keeping $500 plus the $50 for the appointment because he had spent a few minutes taking a putty molding of my mouth. Keep in mind that I am not getting these moldings or anything from him, the Invisalign company isn't getting the moldings, and that other dentists do not charge anything at all for the little he did.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my full $2500.He has stated he would send me $2000, but I have yet to receive anything.I am willing to pay a fair market price for the teeth moldings. According to other dentists and orthodontists, the price for this is near zero. However, I have seen estimates as high as $50, which is the amount he charged for the visit itself.

I have been refunded the $2000 but not the appropriate amount for the moldings.
