[redacted] and I held a phone conversation this afternoon, and discussed and resolved all matters at hand that were included in his initial complaint submitted directly to Connex Credit Union.  The complaints are very similar, with the exception of the additional request in the Revdex.com complaint to...

provide "written verification that this will have no impact on my credit score".  The following illustrates Connex Credit Union's response to [redacted] Desired Settlement:
1.  It is verified that this has no impact on [redacted]'s credit score.
2.  The original balance of the account has been refunded.
3.  [redacted] account has been closed as requested.

We have been able to contact the complaintant, and discussed various options available in order to resolve the payment...

issues experienced. It appears that while mailed, much of our correspondence has not been received.  In order to avoid this going forward, I recommended that electronic delivery is selected in order to receive correspondence through our secure online distribution method.  We also discussed reasons as to why payment attempts at [redacted] locations were not able to be completed in the past, and that going forward how those issues can be avoided and rectified swiftly.
The complainant is now able to successfully make payments as desired, and is satisfied with our response.  Should any further issues occur, I have provided my direct contact information for assistance.  This issue has been successfully resolved.

I recently opened an account with CONNEX. Yesterday I deposited $820 in CASH and told the teller I was going to make a large purchase with that money--two airline tickets-- and needed that money available. The purchase was declined when I tried to use the debit card. Their call center would not accept responsibility. I now have to pay an extra fee for having those tickets held in the meantime. Very frustrating.

Review: My bank sent me to collections. I never received a monthly statement stating my account was in the negative. I want this resolved.Desired Settlement: I want the collections removed from my credit immediately.

Review: I requested to be able to make a additional principal payment against a loan I have with CONNEX. They told my husband that the only way an additional principal payment can be made against a loan was that I had to go to the bank on the exact date the payment is due and make the additional payment then. I do not think that is right and I feel the consumer is put at a disadvantage of being able to payoff their loan earlier. I feel that this may be illegal in some way but I am not sure. Should I be subjected to that kind of rule? I could not get anything in writing to back this up. This will require a great deal of additional difficulty to make sure I am at the bank on a specific day only by their closing time. This complaint states that “the only way an additional principal payment can be made against a loan was that I had to go to the bank on the exact date the payment is due and make the additional payment then.” This is incorrect information. Principal payments can be made at any time during the month.

Additionally, the complaint stated: “I feel the consumer is put at a disadvantage of being able to payoff their loan earlier.” Again here, principal payments can be made at any time. Loans can also be paid off at any time, there are no pre-payment penalties.

Consumer’s Desired Resolution Response:

The complaint states that “I would like to be able to make additional principal payments and not have this stringent schedule which I feel should be illegal.”

Additional principal payments can be made at any time. There is no stringent schedule which needs to be followed.
