My wife Pati And I hired Connor Construction to build an addition and renovate our kitchen and bathroom. Costs were in excess of $82,00.00 and we have the cancelled checks. There were additional costs for a couple of unexpected problems which we paid for as they occurred. As the project progressed I became concerned about the quality of the workmanship and code violations. Exactly 11 months after we cut the first check I had the Commonwealth of Pa Code and inspection service come out to our house to check out the project. There was a voluminous amount of code violations. 4 months later Mr. Connor met with the code service people at our house on June 25th 2015 for a final inspection. Again the project failed on 8 counts and we have not seen or heard from Mr. Connor since. We are left with a house that does not have a certificate of occupancy. We cant even sell the property as it stands at the moment. We have had estimates to fix all of the problems and the estimates are almost $40,000.00. I have had numerous HVAC companies out to look at the HVAC system and not one would touch it, its a disaster. Every one of them said that the system needs to be torn out and start from scratch. Our Electricity bill in winter is over $750.00/month. We heat one floor that measures not much more than 1100 square feet. We can provide any documentation that you require and photographs. We have the Inspectors reports, copies of the contract,cancelled checks and estimates from third party contractors to fix this mess.
