Conn's Furniture

We purchased a leather living room suite from Conn's 3 years ago along with a 4 year service warranty contract. We recently noticed some flaking in the leather on the sofa and contacted the service department. The sofa is in extremely good shape - it doesn't even have normal wear & tear as my husband and I live alone and rarely even sit on the sofa. The service department did send out someone to do an inspection to determine what would be covered and today we learned that none of the actual problems with the leather would be covered under the warranty. We are extremely upset after being mislead as to what the warranty we purchased would cover. When consumers make a purchase of this much expense, they expect the product if taken care of to last for several years. Obviously, we made an error in the quality of merchandise we purchased and an even bigger error in purchasing a warranty that does not cover what was initially promised. Please think twice about purchasing the warranties that Conn's offers on their products as in my opinion they are a complete waste of money. Conn's lost a good customer today and we will no longer make any purchases from their stores.
