Conrod's Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning

My home warranty company selected Conrod's company to come out and fix my AC after I filed a claim with them. He filled my AC unit with freon (and charged me a fee over $50/lb above what it cost him). When he left my place he proceeded to hit on me and ask me out on a date, which I found to be completely unprofessional and created an uncomfortable environment in my home for me as a single woman. It turned out that my AC was still having issues and he came back out and decided to replace the thermostat, not because it was broken but simply because he could not figure out why my AC was not cooling well enough. He totally guessed that the thermostat needed replacing, which did not even fix the issue. Upon installing a new thermostat, he left a whole where the old thermostat used to be, and caused my smoke detector to fall off of the wall and break due to his incessant banging against the wall with a screw driver. When he finished installing the thermostat he placed the smoke detector against its holster on the wall, and did not even connect it properly. I asked him to connect it properly because he caused it to fall (and I could not reach it) and he replied that he was not going to do any work for free and that he had no way of knowing that the smoke detector worked in the first place, despite him being the one that caused it to fall ten feet to the ground. He continued to be rude and unprofessional and began shouting at me when I insisted that he fix the smoke detector before he left. He stated that he was only being paid to fix the AC and that he was not going to do any other work, and he told me to call the home warranty company if I was unhappy. I called the home warranty company and they apologized for his unproffessional and aggressive behavior. He is a very rude and unprofessional man. I would not trust him to do any work and I will never reccomend his company to anyone I know. After all of the drama he caused, my AC still does not work properly, and my home warranty company needs to send another company out to fix the mess that he caused. He seems like he only cares about making $$$ off of the home warranty company, and does not even care about the quality of his work or customer service. He should not be doing businiess in the industry.
