Regarding the complaint
received from *** ***
This issue has occurred due
to a lack of communication by Conroe Spas to *** *** as well as not
following our company procedures
First issue: When we set up service call appointments, we
do not give specific times for appointments as we are unable to know exactly
how long each service call will take for each customer, we can only give the
customer a window of either AM OR PMSome service calls take longer than
others based on the work being doneThe technician can only give the customer
a call when they are leaving the job that is right before theirs and inform
them they are headed their way
We do occasionally give a
customer “first call” of the day status; but this indicates that they are only
first for the day, not a specific time
I have spoken to *** *** by phone and he is out of townWe have a tentative appointment on
August 11, at his house to go over everything with him
Regarding the pumps not turning
off: This is due to the pump not being
configured correctly when we were called out for the initial service call. It is now properly hooked up to a time clock
that allows the low speed pump to come on & circulate the spa for a certain
amount of time each day per the Spa Manufacturers recommendations. During this automatic cycle you can’t turn the
pump off with the topside controls, you are only able to turn off the entire
spa at the breakerI explained this to *** *** & he will check when he
returns home
The customer was not
aware of the correct operation of the motors; one pump has a low speed & a
high speed. Again, this should have been
relayed to *** ***
Regarding the cost of the
pump: I don’t know of a pump for a spa that is $or less. The specific parts for *** *** repair
were $(See attached copy)
Also, the customer had
old motors he wanted our technician to install & check to see if they were
good; our technician installed the pumps & neither was functional; therefore
we incurred additional labor cost to install & uninstall the old motors prior to
installing the new pump
Normally we collect a
deposit of 50% for the parts before we order them, especially since they were
not in stock with our suppliers in town
Again, if our procedures
had been followed, we would have given *** *** a written quote on the
parts & labor and this misunderstanding would not have occurred.

technician & is a very qualified & knowledgeable person
The Spa was running properly
when *** left the jobsite, with the new pump installed properly
