Conroy Home Solutions LLC was to remodel my bathroom beginning February 24, 2020. After not showing up, the new date was scheduled for March 2, 2020. A supposed four day job lasted from Monday, March 2 through Saturday, March 7. They had to return Monday, March 9 with a promise to me of finishing the job so I left final payment. The total cost was $2,425. The first problem I noticed was mold that was sealed around the tub. When I pointed this out to the owner, Nathan, on March 10, he told me he would be back to finish that and a couple of other things. I sent him pictures of everything that was wrong with their job. I never heard back from him so on March 15 I texted and ask when he would be coming back. I received no response. Since I never heard from Nathan, and we now had this outbreak from Covid, I had to contact another plumber before Governor Wolf shut down the state because I had no hot water in this newly remodeled shower. When I contacted Nathan to tell him he would need to reimburse me for this amount since I paid him in full he finally got back to me. It was too late. I had this plumber come in to remove his mold, recaulk the tub surround, try to patch the unevenly installed surround so I would not get water behind my shower, and give me hot water. At this point I noticed how uneven the surround was put in. I paid this plumber $225, a junkman $50 to take the supplies that Nathan never removed, and $50 for another plumber to reverse the incorrectly installed handle. On June 26 I texted these receipts to Nathan asking for reimbursement by July 15. He said ok and I’ve never heard back from him. I’m not only looking for the $325 of additional money I had to pay to correct his errors, I want half of what I originally gave him because I’m going to have to contact another plumber to realign the surround that was put in unevenly. I would like to be in reimbursed $1,525. I know you’re never supposed to pay someone in full unless you know they have finished the job but since this was a good friend’s nephew I thought I could trust him and was wrong.
