Consecutive Moving and Storage

11/6/We also did not hire this company and in fact hired a major moving company, *** *** *** Lines who subcontract Consecutive Moving and storage without our knowledge to complete our moveWe specifically contracted a major company to get reputable servicesWhen I say this is the worst moving expierience possible that doesn't even begin to cover the horrorWe've had major moves in a twenty year Air Force career, two of those move were to Germany and back with essentially no damage to any of our furniture and household goodThis company in a move from TN to TX has destroyed every piece of furniture I own, we have hunks of wood out of furniture along with major gouges and rubs marks on every piece we ownThis is not just one or two pieces of furniture it is every single piece! They have destroyed a Wurlitzer Baby Grand that was in pristine conditionThe washing machine was bashed in, a ride on tractor has major damage and looks like it was dropped off somethingWe have or wardrobe pack boxes where they just stuffed the clothes in the box instead of hanging them as the boxes are intended for.....leather coats and other high end clothing....the dry cleaning bill to try and salvedge these items will be a nightmareNot only did they stuff the boxes with clothes but they put other random things like Christmas decorations in with the clothes that are also ruinedMost of the boxes came off the truck bashed in and some were wet...haven't unpacked boxes yet but I know it won't be goodThis service cost us over $16,for moving and storage while we made this transition to TX and our losses already exceed thatThe first thing I did Friday morning after delivery on Thursday was contact a piano specialist....we are looking at a complete piano overhaul with a price tag of $12-15k, Haven't had a furniture specialist come estimate furniture repair at this pointHave spoken to the owner of Consequtive Moving and Storage as they still have a chair they forgot to deliver, asked him to personally deliver it so he could see the damage....doubt that will happen, he said his driver told him alreadyThey have in no way provided the service that we contracted forThe damage to our personal property is overwhelmingOn the packing up side they did major damage to the hard wood floors which cost us $out of pocket to repair so we could complete the home saleThe day the were to deliver our household they did not show up or call to say they weren't comingwe wasted a whole day waiting for them to show up, of course it was over a weekend so there was no reaching any customer service peopleThey did not tell me the final tally or the day of delivery until I called on Friday late afternoon after they told me someone would call me with the needed informationThey were two days late to show up not arriving until Tuesday, after they said they would be there SundayBecause it was over a weekend not providing me adequate time to have a cashiers check sent from my bank in TN, when they finally showed up Tuesday they refused to take a personnel check, my only option was to secure a money orders two days in a row from the post office as there is a daily limit on debit transactionsThey held our household goods hostage until Thursday when I had money order funds to finish paying for a service they clearly did not provideOn Tuesday tried to work through customer service with Allstate Vanlines...they were less than uselessPROTECT YOURSELF AND YOUR HARD EARNED PERSONAL PROPERTY, IF YOU HIRE ALLSTATE OR COLONIAL VANLINES, ASK IF THEY ARE SUBCONTRACTING YOUR JOB AND DO NOT ACCEPT THIS COMPANY CONSECUTIVE MOVING AND STORAGE OUT OF OUT OF HOUSTON, TXTHE OWNER OF THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE A-- AND COULD CARE LESS IF YOUR PERSONAL PROPERTY IS DAMAGED AND FROM MY CONVERSATIONS WITH HIM THUS FAR HAS NO INTENTION OF MAKING IT GOOD

Please protect yourself by not using this company...I can only speak to long distance moves but if our experience with consecutive moving and storage is any indicator of how they operate then you should not use them for any moving services....I will not write a long apisitle to describe this horror story just know that from begining it has been the worst...!!! We did not hire this company
they were sub contracted by colonial van lines acting as a broker...If you hire a large van line find out up front who they use to complete the actual move...I will add more to this review as the move is completed...*** ***
